LG 14,000 BTU Through the Wall Air Conditioner, 230/208V, Cools 700 Sq.Ft. for Bedroom, Living Room, Apartment, Electronic Control with Remote, White

My last AC unit was much louder than this one. Hoping that this one will last much longer than my last one (keystone) 06/14/25. Easy to install with another person, fairly simple instructions, and works with the temperature control. Quickly (3-5hrs) cooled my 700 sq ft apartment from 78°F to 72°F. For the negative reviews: Through the wall AC unit will create noise. This one is quieter than my last keystone one and the one before that ( brand I don't recall) It does require a ±240V outlet with two prongs that are in line with each other, along with a ground. The prongs flats are towards the ground in a straight line. For the negative reviews: All AC units, especially through the wall and maybe window units create noise. This one, in my experience, is quieter. It does require an appliance 240V outlet. This unit does not provide heat only good cold air conditioning

So far unit is working well. Needs adequate ventilation so it doesn't overheat and shut down. I had to remove the vent grate on my wall sleeve for the unit to work properly.

I wanted to write a review since some of the bad reviews seem to be based on a few misunderstandings of the unit. 1. This is not heater. I know some ACs have heating built in but this is not that kind of unit. 2. This is meant for in wall installation. This is not a window AC unit. Because of this there is no "backing" to it as one review indicated. ​ 3. This used a 230V plug. Make sure you have the right kind of plug for this AC unit. Make sure you buy the right unit for your particular needs. Those issues aside, this is a great unit. My previous unit was 12,000 BTU (with a heater that I never used). This one puts out colder air and cools my unit down in much less time than my previous AC unit. This unit cools about 700 square feet with ease. Also, it isn't especially noisy. Don't get me wrong, it isn't silent, but any AC unit like this will have some noise associate with it. This one isn't too bad though. I'm pretty sure my last unit was noisier too.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with this air conditioner. It started freezing up, then only blew warm air. We troubleshooted and also had a repair person come out to see it. He recommended that we keep it on the energy saving mode, but even then it would continue to freeze up. We now have to purchase a new air conditioner. It may just have been the unit, not the brand, but we wanted to share our experience.

This was a replacement unit for one which was bought in 2021. It was easy to install, and it started up easily. It cooled down my apartment within 15 minutes. The remote does not have a temperature display and it is a bit noisy. However, it does a great job of cooling the room. With the high heat and humidity, this air conditioner unit is worth buying.

for a 14,000 BTU unit, it is lightweight and easy to install. it works well so far and I like all the modes and features, the only complaint is that it is slightly more noisy than the 50 year old Fedders unit it replaced. It does hold the temperature well and the remote works from just about anywhere near the room.

So far cooled my place down during this heat wave. A little disappointed this expensive unit is flimsy. It arrived cracked. I just hope nothing else is wrong with it. Will provide an update the longer I have it. Update : I will be monitoring this ac it makes some clunky noise when it reaches temperature. Very nervous that all this money spent and this ac will die on me.

makes a lot of noise no matter what the fan speed, thin, cheap, plastic trim, easy to break. this product is very disappointing LG should be making a better product, current price is $699.00, I would avoid this model. For the price it should have WiFi, and an ionizer, the remote is cheap and hard to read.
