A must have in your library
This book has been well thought out, written for the practitioner, by the practitioner. Easy to navigate- with clear charts, this book is definitely user friendly for quick reference. Excellent inclusion of integration within a healthcare team as well as incorporation of modalities such as laser, ultrasound and ESWT for those whom needling is not within their scope (or those who may have these modalities, or be interested in them). This text is a must for anyone working with dogs- whether you're the vet, the chiro, the vet physio- all can benefit. I'll go as far as to say Dr Michele has thought of everything and I don't get to the end of the book feeling let down it didn't meet my expectations. It exceeded my expectations and has equipped me, as a rehab practitioner, to not only enhance my skills for my patient but also to further educate my clients for clearer expectations and happier outcomes

A must read for all small animal veterinarians!
This book is like nothing I’ve ever read. When going through veterinary school, myofascial pain assessment and treatment is rarely mentioned. Anyone doing a lameness exam or a pain assessment on a small animal needs to read this book. It is so informative and eye opening. This book is such an easy read as well, and it has great pictures and illustrations to go along with its descriptions. If I could give this book more than five stars, I would! I look forward to reading other publications by Dr. Broadhurst!

Highly recommend this book, Pug gives it two paws 🐾 up!
The media could not be loaded. As an animal massage therapist, I recommend this book as both deeper study and as a quick reference to aid in healing your patients. This book is also great for the pet parents who want to better understand what they observe in how their dog moves, sits, stands and lays down as what they observe as pain points coming into the clinic helps the practitioner provide relief. Ever since becoming aware of the fascia and its interwoven connections across the entire body, I have remained fascinated by it and endeavor to learn more and do more to provide healing and recovery to the fur kids who see me. This pug began seeing me at age 14. He stutter walked, limped horribly on his back left leg, could barely walk a few yards, never played with toys and was in significant pain even with Gabapentin. His stare was vacant. A few weeks of therapy later, this is Winston playing with a toy. He’s re-instated his pack leader role at home, runs after squirrels, has full mobility and is off the Gabapentin...He’s now 15 and thriving due to manipulation of the fascia as part of massage therapy. 🥰

Great book
I’m a veterinary physiotherapist and I just wanted to start a bit of further reading other than looking at research papers. I saw another physio I went to university with got this book and said she was enjoying it. Honestly, I’m really enjoying this book and I’m finding it easy to read and very informative. I think there’s a lot of elements to the book which I covered at university and while I have good knowledge on these areas it is really helpful. The book looks into specific muscle groups and could be used as a quick tool and reminder. I would recommend this book and I think it would be helpful and easy to read for varying levels of education. I’m qualified at masters levels and occasionally I have purchased books and thought how basic they are and I haven’t really gained much from them. This book is 100 percent worth a read and perfect for all levels!

Brilliant book, highly recommend!
I first heard the author speaking on a podcast I was listening to whilst driving, I pulled over to order this book as it sounded incredible! Not disappointed, really thorough and concise information. I have recommend this book as a suggestion for recommended reading for my training school. Even though as a Canine Massage Therapist I am unable to do any needling work this book is still extremely useful to have on the book shelf to understand the world of fascia. 100% recommend if you work with canine patients.

Knowledge of Myofascial pain is a must for mobility assessments. Here’s the why and how.
This book is a fantastic guide to the palpation techniques, physiological knowledge and specific anatomy that will allow a clinical practitioner to really properly assess myofascial pain which is so often overlooked but is so often the main cause of pain and lameness and dysfunction . It validates everything I do as vet who focuses specifically on mobility issues in dogs and horses. Thank you to the author for publishing!
