American Brass: .50 Caliber Bullet Bottle Opener in Box, Made in America From Real Once-Fired 50 BMG Casing

It's a bottle opener....but it's not finished nicely. Mine came with a few good dings in the casing, and the neck did not appear to be de-burred. The inside still had quite a lot of burnt gunpowder falling out where they cut for the opener. I also had to polish it myself because they apparently did not. It took a bit of rubbing compound to take off the oxidation before the bottle opener became shiny and clean looking.I should have just bought the one I saw at the gun shop for $12....those at least looked well finished by people who care.

I was very excited to support a Veteran owned company, and opted to support a smaller company than Bottle Breacher (since they've already been quite successful).Purchased for a white elephant gift exchange at the fire department as a fun, unique gift.Disappointed when it arrived!First, the only branding it had is an off-center stamp on a simple cardboard box. It sat inside with a foam cushion which had shifted and jammed to one end during shipping, the bottle opener wasn't resting on it nor protected by it. Additionally, there were quite a few chunks of metal "shavings" that were loose in the box and embedded in the cushion.I nearly sent it back to purchase the other brand, but didn't have the time and thought it would be fine.I felt awful when, at the party, the guy that opened it said, "Oh...a bullet bottle opener. No one will steal this."Disappointing experience overall. :(

Exactly as I envisioned, had one already I bought elsewhere and bought this one as a gift. Only knocked down a star because it is shipped bare in a poly bag, not boxed nicely like one might expect for a gift. But really, is someone who would appreciate this as a gift going to care about the box? I don't think so. Great gift for your Bros. Oh, I paid full price for this item, no one gave me free stuff.Edit 6-9-2018: Seems this is now shipped in a box, so I upgraded my rating.

I collect only the cool ones . This one is one of the coolest bottle openers I have to date . Keep making cool stuff and if it catches my eye ill be a repeat customer .

The bottle opener is fantastic! I really suggest that they update their packaging though! The box itself is fine, but it doesn't give any of the cool information about the product on it. I gave this as a gift because it was perfect for my veteran friend, but I found myself over explaining (and not very well) that the company is owned and run by veterans and the bullet is from the US military - all of the information that should be on the box itself. (Or at least on an information sheet put inside the box with the opener). The package didn't even tell what type of bullet it is. It didn't feel as cool of a present after I had to explain why I thought it was significant.

Shopping for my husband has always been difficult. I normally say what do you want for whatever occasion and I will get whatever he request. It's pretty straightforward. This past Valentine's, I want to do a unique little gift basket filled with manly items. Imagine my excitement when I came across this beauty! When it arrived, it came as promised and honestly better than expected. He was in awe at the "coolness" factor. I'm definitely going to get more, they would make awesome stocking staffers and last minute birthday gifts. I'm a Veteran and he is active duty, you know these will come in handy for our military friends!

Bought this as a small gift for my son and he was more than delighted with it. Haven't seen him this excited about an item in years. I asked him today if he'd had a chance to use it , he told me that he had his friends over for a BBQ just to show it off, and that it was a big hit . Talk about getting a lot of bang for your buck, this opener certainly delivers.It came packaged in a box and was highly polished and presentable as a gift. The American Brass co. Followed up my sale to make sure that I was satisfied with their product, packaging, and service. Great product, great service, I would highly recommend it to my friends.

I gifted this to my mothers boyfriend a couple of years ago for Christmas and he loved it as he is a beer/gun enthusiast. It was well made and still works just how it is supposed to! Still looks brand new and is a cool little piece to keep out as a decoration for parties. Would definitely recommend if it is something you're interested in!
