These labels are easy to use - the backing splits horizontally on the back, so it's easy to remove. They're durable: we used some on a couple of outside wheely bins in June, and they still look like they did the day we applied them, through all weathers these past few months.I got the label maker and tape primarily for labelling my spice jars, and happily:(1) they're easy to take off one bottle and reapply to a new bottle if I want to change the size of bottle;(2) they stay on a bottle through washing so I don't need to make a new label every time I use up one batch of spice;(3) they stay well, and the ones I made when I first got the labelmaker (with its included tape, the same as this) back in June 2011 are still going strong, many despite washing and transplanting.This tape is ace; I won't use anything else.

I bought this labeller and the tape to make garden plant labels. They are excellent and look very smart but I agree that the tape is somewhat expensive and wasteful as there is a large margin at each end of the typing. However, on day 2 I discovered that you can reset the margin, thus reducing the amount of tape used for each label. It is a great toy!

Does the job it's meant to... I just wish the machine wasn't so damned wasteful with the tape. The best thing to do is to write a few labels together, separated only by a comma, and print them all at once. The amount of blank unused tape is horrendous and the tape isn't exactly cheap.In terms of quality of the product itself we found it adhered well to various surfaces.. I have used it in a clients bathroom and kitchen on tiles and walls and metal bathroom fittings. I've also applied it effectively to shelves. When the client preferred a change of font, I was able to pick the offending labels off without too much problem, though they were stuck down quite well. They also so far appear to be water resistant as is claimed.

Standard black on white tape. Used a lot recently - surprised how far it went given cassette method delivery. Works as expected with our Brother labeller which is a purple and white P-Touch 1080 originally from Ryman (in case that helps anyone). All brother labellers are a world away from those old (ha I guess we can now say Retro?) Dymo embossers we had back in the 70's and 80's. If I was going to criticise them I would say they only really stick once and peeling them off to reposition curls the lifted edge and seldom brings long term joy. I am not going to take a star off for that however as I consider it obvious/expected. If you get it badly wrong just reprint the label.

i use this in one of the orange brother labelling machines for electricians giving straight and flags. i found them to be easy to install and take out - and the quality of output is very good. the labels stick well onto all different kinds of cables.

I find labelling very useful and the Brother system is less fiddly to use than others I have tried, it is just the price of the tapes I find a bit on the high side for what it is. I feel there seems to be excessive tape wasted on the head and tail of the labels you produce but that seems to be standard whichever tape labeling system you use. I guess they make their profits on the tapes rather than the machines, shades of printers and ink cartridges..The tapes give a good sharp print and the adhesive is good with no creepage.

Great for lots of things, but at this time of year, it’s garden plants that need attention. These labels seem to last at least a couple of years without fading or coming away from the plastic tags to which I’ve stuck them.

I used brother laminated machine for few years. I’ve bought this replace label few times. As usual, good quality and easy to use.
