I mainly bought this player because I wanted to enjoy my FLAC library without constantly using my phone, and it has been a great experience. The sound is noticeably cleaner and more detailed than what I'm used to from a smartphone. With a good pair of wired headphones, vocals sound more natural, instruments have their own space, and the overall presentation feels much more open and immersive. Going back to compressed streaming music is honestly hard after hearing the difference.I've been using it during my commute, while working, and even before bed when I just want to relax with music. The physical buttons are easy to use without looking, and I like being able to browse my folders instead of dealing with apps or notifications. The included memory card was enough to get started, and there's plenty of room to expand for a larger collection of lossless albums.I also like that I can switch between wired headphones and Bluetooth depending on where I am. Most of the time I use wired earphones because they really let the high-resolution audio shine, but Bluetooth is convenient when I'm out walking. I even connected it to my home stereo through the line-out, and it produced a clean, detailed signal that sounded excellent through my speakers.Battery life has been more than enough for my daily listening, and having a dedicated music player means my phone stays charged for everything else. If you enjoy collecting FLAC, WAV, or DSD files and want to hear your music with better clarity, wider soundstage, and richer detail, this is a solid choice that focuses on delivering a great listening experience.

OK. So I was looking for a fairly high-end DAP which I could store and play my FLAC files on. This hasn't disappointed sound-wise. The sound quality is crisp, clear and at the price is something an audiophile would be proud to own. The device supports gapless playback which is an absolute must for me, and from selection of tracks is lightning quick to play them. The in-built graphic equaliser is decent, with some fair presets and allowable customisation dependent on your preference. The settings menu is fairly extensive too with a plethora of presets to allow you to engage with the device as best you see fit. eg, timers, themes, display settings.. etc.The navigation on the system is pretty decent - I tend to navigate by file structure as per my own structure and this works just fine. It is important to note that unlike the 'click-wheel' on the old iPod video, this is actually a mechanical wheel, sturdy, knurled and at the moment a little stiff but I can only assume will loosen up slightly with more use.It comes with a 64gB micro SDHC card but as other reviewers have mentioned, it is pretty slow in transfer speeds and I wanted a larger capacity anyway so upgraded to a 512gB SDHC which was a considerable improvement, not to mention the larger capacity.The product is manufactured from aluminium alloy and for the small size is surprisingly weighty, this is a plus for me, it feels like there is true quality in this product, not something flimsy which could break down.The buttons are very responsive, there's a nice feel to physical buttons rather than a touch-screen.There are a couple of down sides to this machine which could do with improvement though. This is not to say they are a breaker as to whether to buy this machine or not, but merely should be pointed out so that you have an informed decision should you wish to choose over others.Firstly and most noticeably, when plugging the device into my laptop to transfer files, the transfer rate is quite slow, around 6MB/s despite my installation of a high-end SDHC card. I can only assume the device itself is causing the transfer lag. However, I am fortunate enough to have a SDHC port on my laptop and upon plugging the card into this found a noticeable difference at around 20-22 MB/s transfer speed. This is a relatively minor issue and hasn't caused me any problems.The second is that whilst playing music if the device goes into sleep mode, none of the buttons are responsive. You literally have to press the power button to re-energise it out of sleep mode to be able to skip tracks/adjust volume etc. This could be a more significant problem dependant on how you intend to use the device. Again, this isn't a real issue for me, and the pro's for this device far outweigh the cons.The third (very) minor issue is that it has a glass back... I'm forever wiping my fingerprints off it!I did extensive research into opting for this device - the only one which came close was the HiFi Walker H2, however numerous reviews always mentioned the warmer feel to the output on this device, plus the price tag was slightly cheaper.I have been using for about two days now but will update should I find anything more.

After purchasing four Digital Audio Players from Amazon & returning each one due mainly to software problems, a Surfans F20 was ordered. The sound quality is good (not always the case with D.A.Ps). Loading the CDs onto this unit is easy using Windows Media Player. Searching for a particular album or artist is done manually, which is easy as the categories are listed alphabetically. The Bluetooth connection for earbuds or an MP3 speaker is faultless. This player supports a wide range of digital audio formats.This also used in the car using a cassette adapter connected via the 3.5mm stereo jack. There are two of these sockets; one for is headphones, the other being line out. I connected the cassette adapter via the line out initially. This produces distortion. On the headphones jack it sound faultless.I did have question about the rotating selector control, so I emailed the manufacturer's after sales support they replied quickly, so the manufacturers' after-sales is good.The Surfans F20 has an alloy case which gives it a weighty, quality feel. A slight glitch in the software does occasionally result in album artwork not being displayed. Another improvement that could be made by the manufacturers' is giving the option of a larger font size. The screen is small and neat. The downside being that the information script has to be tiny.Overall this is a good quality device in terms of sound quality and solid build. At around £100 you get what you pay for. Experience has resulted in that I would recommend this over less expensive players, as so far it has proved to be more hassle-free than those.

I was looking for a player to boost the volume and quality of my phone replay (and remove the need for the lightning to headphone adapter), be a stand alone blue tooth receiver/player for my motorcycle Satnav (into helmet speakers) and occasional blue tooth receiver for powered speakers in the workshop.I was looking for a player larger than the present vogue for sub-miniature devices - believing this might allow for more robust components like battery and blue tooth chip.I liked the form factor. It feels pretty insubstantial (light) but solid. The controls are pleasant enough.Loading some uncompressed music files onto the included chip soon demonstrated that no size of replacement card was going to hold a satisfactory selection from my library. Sound quality, through some old and warmish Shure headphones, was insubstantial and - incapable of improving on results I was getting from my phone. Playing with eq settings did provide a more welcoming result but I the 'pure' output was uninspiring, filtered - just more bearable.I'd thought there would be substantial gains to be had from playing uncompressed but the detail gained was at the cost of body and warmth. Battery life seemed pretty poor although I ended up only charging it once.The main killer was the lack of blue tooth performance.The on-the-bike transmission distance would have been minimal and I had been confident that the problems others had experienced would not arise. Playing from my PC with the device less than a foot away produced a glitchy output that indicated I would have no better luck on the bike.All of which adds up to a complete fail for me.Amazon proved exemplary in the ease and speed of refund.

I fitted a 256mb SanDisk card in to compare the sound and speed of other players I have and it wins hands down. The sound of this little player when reading Uncompressed Flac files is amazing , dynamic and full body is how I would describe it great for rock music but will handle classical music equally well. No time lag on picking tracks or albums in normal play mode and easily jumps into whole library random play which I love to use most days. Album art work is adequately displayed along with play mode info my only gripe would be having to press the power button every time to bring it out of sleep. Although I have tried the Equalizer I found the sound cleaner and overall better turned off but it's there if needed. A great player that I can highly recommend at any price but a bargain for just over £100 if your in the market for a small compact robust well built player look no further.

The 32GB micro SD card could not be read by my computer, so unable to download software from it. Could not download software from the Internet as all the cables I used would not work with the audio player. I was able to play music from another micro SD card.It looks great and I took much thought before purchasing it.I have sent it back and awaiting a full refund.I ordered another player. But a IRULU, Same design but under another name. No software on the 32 GB Disc but the player would allow me to put music straight from my PC to the player via the supplied micro USB. I have only listened to music from the player using wired earphones. I tried using Bluetooth earphones but it connected to my wife's mobile phone instead, even though it did find it. I will use another Bluetooth earphones/headphones to see if it works. Music on FLAC Files are great and I do not need to use the instructions as it it is easy to find your way around the controls and settings. This player is £40.00 cheaper as it is a returned item.Bluetooth faulty. Only recognises Bluetooth mobile phones. Will not recognise Bluetooth earphones or headphones. Only good for wired headphones or earphones.I have used this player quite a few times. Some of the negatives on the jog dial are unfair. When searching for albums or songs, you can use forward or reverse buttons instead and they are great. I really love this player. Still it does not pick up Bluetooth headphones or earphones.Hopefully I will be able to use it for years to come.

My previous DAP was the Plenue D2 by Cowon, and as much as I genuinely loved that player, I couldn't get on board with the responsive touch screen but yknow what?... I love the UI on that thing even though I know not alot of people do.This player is much cheaper and in my opinion just a shade better, I prefer the buttons to navigate the system, the navigation wheel feels great quality and, really, the whole thing is really strong feeling and made out of a really strong metal. It's got a good weight to it and feels good in the hand.The sound quality is great, even through Bluetooth, but you really wanna be using some good wired headphones of IEMs for this thing, and trust me it shines.The UI doesn't look the greatest, but it has some great features, I love the way you can scroll through all of the categories (Albums, Artists etc), it feels really good and fast, switching songs is a breeze. The only issue I have is that the play/skip buttons don't control the music while navigating AND when the screen is off... yes. It doesn't bother me that much because my IEMs have skip/pause buttons which is what I'm used to anyway, so if that bothers you then expect that when buying.

I've had this for about a month now, and have had enough time to get to know it. It's a very simple and straightforward player. You put music in, and it plays it back to you. There's no touch screen, radio, clock, or motion tracker or any of that. It just plays music, and it does that very well.Until now, I was using a 16gb Ipod loaded with MP3 files for space and convenience, but I knew that I wasn't getting the most from the music. It sounded OK, especially when paired with my Beoplay H6 2nd gen earphones, but it was still compressed and a little flat. The F20 can play pretty much any format you load on to the SD card with no issues at all. It can drive my over ear cans no problem, and it can easily drive my IEMs, although I would recommend that you use something with significantly higher impedance than the minimum recommendation of 8ohms. My cans are 32 and the IEMs are 30. Anything lower than that and you might find that there's a bit of noise, especially if they're particularly sensitive.Loading and playing music is very straightforward, although annoyingly the player doesn't offer folder support, or allow you to Play All Songs by an artist the way the Ipod does. That's something I would like Surfans to address when they next update the firmware. Making playlists is easy too. I use M3u Dropper, and have made about 20 lists with very little effort.It is important that you put the lists into the main folder, and don't nest them. The software will only look in the folder the M3u is in to find the songs. If you delete a song, or move it, the player will not load your playlist, and you will need to make a new one.Battery life is very good. I've had mine play continuously for 3 hours with only 25% loss. It's not as good if you use bluetooth, but that's to be expected. If you have bought this, then I would assume that you're not using BT anyway. There's little point in buying a lossless player and then not using wired earphones.So, it's a basic but very competent player that lacks few features that could easily be added. It's not going to give you the full audiophile experience, especially if you're not using good 'phones, but the cost of the high end stuff is getting harder to justify when you can buy this for around £100.

Lo primero hay 2 versiones, una con el micro USB antiguo como sale en la fotos y otra con USB-C, se puede leer esto en foros, a mi me ha llegado desde Amazon la nueva del USB-C.Me gusta el buen sonido pero no quiero gastarme mucho dinero en ello. Este es el ideal para esta situación. Lo estoy probando con unos cascos Sennheiser HD 599, que no son muy caros pero son decentes, y espectacular. Pistas Ogg de 320kbps. No suena enlatado, y mucho mejor que cualquier iPod Classic, tengo el 5a gen y este Surfans le gana en calidad de sonido.El sistema operativo trae muchas opciones y me gusta, está diseñado bien para audiófilos.La calidad de construcción es normalilla, y la rueda no es del todo buena la experiencia aunque se puede usar bien. Yo no usaría este aparato para hacer deporte, lo voy a usar en casa.

This is a simple MP3 player that sounds good and is easy to use.

This is an awesome DAP. No need for apps, logins. Does exactly what it needs to do in an exceptional way for such a reasonable price. If there is one drawback and it’s irrelevant really, it’s that you cannot control sound unless screen is active. A small issue that is easily overcome. It’s hardy, it’s battery life is brilliant and I’d fully endorse this as a great entry and beyond app. Buy it. Then see if you need an upgrade. I’d guarantee you won’t. Well done Surfans.
