Have only tested it so far to make sure it works. I'm not sure my temperature control works. It seems to be on HOT!!! Melts the solder faster than my 100w soldering gun no matter where I put the little dial. Appears fragile compared to 25w Weller but very small, balanced, seems much more controllable than the much better built Weller. I mainly wanted an 80w for one or two projects and it's cheap. If you need something more durable spend some extra money because this one's disposable.

I did not see any extra tips so that's why the low star rating other wise the soldering iron works real good.On 5/11/2016 the company contacted me concerning the soldering tips that were not included in the original shipment. The company has agreed to take care of the problem. That is good customer service. This is good soldering iron for the jobs I need it for.

can't for the life of me get it to work. This is my first attempt at soldering, but not happy with my luck. Product does not come with instructions so I've been looking up instructional videos - iron gets hot but doesn't melt solder the way it looks in videos.Might be user error, but I'm not happy with the purchase

I have had many soldering irons over the years from super expensive to dirt cheap. This one is used in my repertoire as a portable one to go in the tool box. Adjustible temp is nice and the extra tips may be handy if I don't loose them. Its not super strong feeling but I haven't broken it yet.

Works pretty well except that part of the soldering iron starts to melt (plastic closest towards the tip) over time.

I like the adjustable temperature. It heats up quickly. I wish I had bought the set with the holder though. Definitely worth it though.

Thermostat not very consistent. Works though.

I used it to fix my Yamaha Electric Bass Guitar and it worked great. It's been a while since I've soldered so it was nice to be able to adjust the heat so that I wasn't applying too much heat from the get go and burn things out.
