Crocs Athens Thong Sandal

After all the great reviews here, and not being able to find these locally, I decided to take a chance and order them on-line. On arrival, at first I though I'd made a great choice. My foot fits them very well, and they offer a lot of support in all the right places, along with lots of cushioning, and the softness and durability for which the Crocs brand is famous.However, once I actually tried to wear the Athens sandals on a short walk, I immediately noticed two problems:1) The post between the big and second toe is both too wide and has a sharp ridge on both sides that together are very uncomfortable for a new user of thong sandals.2) The post is also a bit too tall, making it a bit difficult to keep the sandals from slipping as I walk.Initially, my intent was just to put up with it and hope the sharp ridges wore down or my toes toughened up. But today we took a trip to a Crocs store at an outlet mall in another town, and discovered at least three other Crocs thong sandals fit me much better, with a thin fabric post rather than a thick plastic one. By spending an hour testing them all, I eventually agreed with the clerk that the most comfortable of these is the  Crocs Men's Yukon Flip Flop . (Its upper portion is also leather, rather than plastic, which is good for comfort, but possibly less good for use where it will always be wet.)I lucked out in that the Crocs store was having a 2 for the price of 1 sale today, so the Yukon Flip didn't cost any more than the Athens had. But oh my did the Yukon Flip feel better between my toes and stay on my foot more securely as I wore it on the same walk to a nearby pool to which I'd earlier worn the Athens.It's worth a drive to an actual Crocs store, if there's one anywhere in your area, at least initially, to be sure you get the style best for you. You can always buy more on-line later, once you know that.I'm donating the Athens Thong to a local charity, as it isn't worth the hassle for all concerned to return them to Amazon's third-party dealer.

i ordered the white/black pair of the athens thong sandal and was really excited to get them. i have a generic pair that looks exactly like them and i wanted to feel the difference.the difference is in the croc! they are cushy and bouncy and just like a regular croc, feel good on your soles. i could stay in them all day ... EXCEPT for the fact that they run extremely large! i'm a size 8 1/2 shoe, sometimes a size 9 sandal because of the way the straps rub on my feet. i have other crocs and always order a size 7 (and they normally fit very well). i ordered the mens 5/womens 7 and they are so big on me. it's mostly width, the straps are very high and wide and don't rest on my feet at all. i end up clenching my toes a little bit around the front because there is a little "slip" there. there is also some extra room in the back but nothing horrible. again, it's primarily width.but it's a unisex shoe, so, i'm assuming the extra width is to accommodate a man, should he choose to buy these. my suggestion would be to go two sizes down (in my case, 2 1/2), so that the width is not a problem, unless you have rather long feet that would then cut length in the back.i gave these shoes a five because they are nice looking, priced fairly, and comfortable. ... i imagine even more so if you're able to find the proper size. with most sizes being men's/women's, i'm sure it's going to be a little bit harder to do than with a normal sandal.

Now I know why you see people wearing crocs all the time - they are so comfortable! Every part of these flips flops are soft and comfy! They wear well and wash off easily. I have worn them to take the dog for a walk; In my garden; around town; out to the pool and they work everywhere.After reading the reviews, I was a bit concerned about what size to buy. I wear a woman's 8.5 size shoe and my foot is regular width but a bit on the narrow size. I also have a pet peeve about people who wear sandals with their toes and heels hanging off the sandal!!!! I usually buy a 9 womens in sandles for this very reason. I did not want to buy it too small. I ended up getting the size 8 womens/6 mens and they fit great. I wanted them in navy/kakhi but they were not avail, so I got in the army and I must say I love the color.My neighbor saw me with them on and said she had a pair just like them and they were her favorite flip flops. She did warn me they they do break easily at the part between the toe, so be careful. I can see how this could happen as it is really soft like rubber stuff there, but so far so good.I love these and will definitely buy again and will be telling everyone about them!

I normally wear a 9 medium and ordered an 8. I'm glad I read the reviews and ordered a size down. But still the shoe is very wide, and this means that the back of my foot, from instep back, shifts from side to side since there's so much room and the strap doesn't hug (or even touch) the foot starting half-way back. Seems like it would fit a guy's foot better. I kind of like the wideness in the toe, however, because my pinkie doesn't hang off the edge as it does in some other thongs. The cushion in the heel seems like a big plus, but there's absolutely no arch support as there could easily have been in a molded shoe such as this one. I like the light weight and the army green color--it will match a lot of outfits.2013: Don't know what I was objecting to--they seem perfect now, still going strong after almost 5 years!2015: Ordered another pair of Crocs Athens, and they're a dream. I did get fooled once and ordered another style, and was disappointed. I am delighted to still find Athens, even if not always in the colors I'd prefer. The men's 6-women's 8 fit my size 81/2-9 B foot perfectly. Although there's not really an arch, these are my go-to shoes whenever my plantar fasciitis flares up.

レビューを参考にして購入しました。素足で履くものなので、試さないで購入するのは冒険です。ビーチサンダルをダブダブで履くのは好きではないのでレビューに大きめを！とありましたが、あえて２２．５cmの私は２２cmを購入しました。が、到着した商品はサイズが大き過ぎて驚きました。履いて試したところ、内側のかかとのラインから２〜３cm程手前に自分のかかとがきました。２３．５cmの方にも試して頂きましたが、その方も大きすぎる！と云われました。全体的に甲高、幅広に出来ている様ですね。２３cmの幅広の方でも少し大きめな感想でしたので、注意が必要だと思います。

クロックスのビーサンですよ！クロックスのやわらかさにフルオープンの快適さが加わって、最高の履き心地が体感できます。私は膝に故障を抱えておりやわらかいビーチサンダルが欲しかったのですが、ハワイアナスは意外と硬くその他のものは履く気になれなかったので、この[クロックス] Athens II を買いました。外側の色違いの部分は一回り大きいので巨大にみえます。しかしこれにはきっと狙いがあって色違いの部分をわざと見せることで自分流の主張ができるのではないでしょうか？27.5cmの私が28.0cm（サイズ10）で丁度2色が見えるような感じですので、小さめよりも大きめをお勧めします!
