I couldn't use the drill because the battery was no good wouldn't charge. I had to take one of my other batteries from one of my other products. This was supposed to be a birthday gift. It was a week late. Boo to you.

This is a perfect drill for a beginner: compact, easy to handle, works great. Only drawback is it doesn’t come with a case. So many drills jack up the price to include extras you won’t use; this one has just what you need for most household needs. Good value for the very affordable price.

It looks like a nice drill. Too bad the included battery arrived DOA. Reached out to BLACK+DECKER via the link in my Amazon orders page. I received a reply the next day requesting some further information, which was provided. The following day I got a shipping notification for a replacement battery. And then I can comment/rate the battery life. I'm a casual user, need a drill for occasional projects. Which is what I think this drill is mostly intended for, hence the lower price point. It's not too heavy for a drill, and it has an ergonomically designed handle, which makes it fairly easy to hold. The battery and charger are compatible with other products in the 'beyond' line, if you have any of those. One battery type, multiple devices. Instead of multiple devices with different batteries. Update once I receive battery and can test out drill.

Not bad for the price.

Came with blinks red light dead/broken battery. I tried the charger on one of my batteries to double check so it is the battery. I used my battery and ran it a bit and it’s sparking inside !! I waited a few minutes did it again. You can see and smell them from the little ventilation window on the side. So now I’m awaiting a new one I bought directly from B n D’s website and my projects are waiting and I have to go make a trip to return it in the middle of midterms !! Thanks !!!! Is no one checking these items before they are sent out !?!?!? The used “excellent” condition ones ?

so far very happy with this works good for home use the battery holds quite long even when not in use for a period of time

Excellent drill when my old Craftsman drill's battery charger quit I decided to go with the B&D drill, which has all the same features as my Craftsman, which I liked. The B&D was smaller but extremely well built. It has all the same features plus an LED light and uses the same 20 V battery as my B&D hedge trimmer so it made perfect sense! I've used it a few times now and it's a fine drill - the price was extremely good for the outstanding quality! Excellent work B&D and highly recommended!

Decent item. Good for the money . Seems a little on the light duty side . But still drove a 3 inch screw in no problem. And used it to build a couple small units for my RV using 2.5 inch screws. No issues .
