How do I claim the warranty?** A: I still have the box -- There's a warranty card inside, that should've come with your scale. According to mine, it says that it's a 10 year warranty, and it covers scales that they determine to be defective in material or workmanship. The phone number is 1-888-919-6888. You need to call that for them to give you an "RMA number", before you return it. As a heads up, the gist of the warranty card's fine print is: The customer is responsible for shipping the scale to Accuteck (and the recommended insurance) but they will pay for the shipping on the replacement. Says you will need to pack the scale to avoid further damage in shipping... if you no longer have the cardboard foam inserts that were underneath the platform when you opened it, I advise you to make something suitable to put under there, before packing it. You don't want the scale platform jiggling around during shipment and then appearing to be user error when they get it on the other side. After they give you the RMA number and you pack the scale, you'll need to include a copy of your Amazon receipt and a note with your RMA number (Accutek doesn't mention this but I think it's a good idea to do, anyway)... plus your name, address and phone number, along with a quick note about what the problem you're having is. **Q: Will it show a continuous increase in weight? For example, if an empty bucket were put on it and grain were gradually poured into the bucket.** A: Yes, it will continuously add and subtract weights. **Q: does usb connect weight of object to computer?** A: YES, you can weight (a computer for example) while the computer powers the scale. Hook up to the USB, tare the weight to 0.00, and then set the item down on it. (Slight inaccuracy might be an issue due to the weight of the cord itself, but that is a really small amount). **Q: Can i use this to weight refrigerant** A: Well, I don't know. And, for safety's sake, I'd recommend contacting the manufacturer.
