Frigidaire Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control, White

The portal AC unit has been a lifesaver in our older house that doesn't have AC. This cools our family room and kitchen nicely. I love all the settings it comes with and the remote. It is not overly loud, but we do need to turn the TV a tad louder when it is on. Great for those hot and humid summer days!

Most portable air conditioners are pretty loud, but comparatively, this one is a lot quieter than our old unit. It’s also much more efficient at cooling down our master bedroom. I’m in Texas heat draped in blankets as I write this. It’s worth the money! For the drain tube, we’re hooked out onto a five gallon water jug. This thing produces so much water that I find myself emptying it daily so just be sure it won’t overflow.

Bought this in the spring and for the first few days it seemed to work out fine. It is now July and I just bought a 22,000 btu Whirlpool window air conditioner like the one I had before. I bought 4 of this portable type and they are all doing the same thing. When it’s over 90 degrees, they cannot keep up and it’s like there’s no a/c working at all. They are very, very noisy. Also, my electric bill went up a lot one month after I started using them. I would never recommend this air conditioner.

I purchased this product to cool my garage space (about 425 sq. ft.). This is a good AC unit. It does a good job cooling the enclosed garage space in the humid Alabama heat . My garage has a metal door, so I also ordered a garage door insulation kit to help hold in the cool air. No matter what type of space you are trying to cool, good insulation is very much a key ingredient to keeping the space cool. I would purchase this brand again.

Had distributed AC back in Taiwan but not popular here in the US, so bought this one. Before purchasing, I did a thorough search online, and decided to buy a quieter one since we have a 2 yo and 6 yo boys sleeping with us.This Frigidaire one cools our room (~400 sqft) super quick, within 20min from 85F to 75F!! The noise level is not perfect, compared with the distributed AC but it is pretty acceptable. It is not a fair comparison since distributed AC has its compressor outside or in another room.Overall I like this AC. Recommended.

This is an awesome a/c unit. I just got it, very easy set up, all hardware included. Turned it on and was immediately surprised at how quiet it is. At first I was wondering if the compressor was working because it was so quiet. It sounds like just the fan is blowing. After about 15 minutes, the room was noticeably cooler. In 30 min, it was real nice. This was on a 90 degree day in Los Angeles. Very happy with this product, highly recommend.

So I should have done more research this unit is definitely not energy efficient. It's very big however with it being very big and also kicks butt it kept the room cold or within two degrees of what it read throughout a heat wave. Very easy to install the instructions aren't that great but it's easy to install everything is really good quality and it's quiet. It doesn't have a timer so I had to actually hook it up to an industrial timer through the wall and it has a memory so you just purchase a $15 outlet timer that can hold that much wattage and voltage through it and it's worked perfectly turning it off and back on periodically throughout the day has saved us a lot of electricity since it's not very energy efficient.

We bought this air conditioner to tie us over until we could get central air conditioning installed. It was seriously a lifesaver. I highly recommend it but it is not quiet like others reviewers mention. Regardless, we were so happy we bought it.
