Does this work the same as the Japanese version?

HI..... i don't know the "Japanese" version, but this is a nice nice product. What i love about it is the hydration/moisture level and the fact that it doesn't travel onto teeth or inside of one's mouth. Yuk, lol. So yes, i really highly recommend this product. I use it all the time, so having two of them, one to go and one in close proximity at home is fantastic. Enjoy... michelle :D

This product states it is vegan but it contains lanolin. So it is not vegan?

Lanolin is produced from the wool of sheep, therefore it is not considered a vegan product/ingredient. However, I believe lanolin production is cruelty-free. Hope this helps! :)

Does this have a taste to it ??

No taste that I detected. Very creamy and I use it every night. Really feel it moisturizes lips well.
