Happy with my purchase it's a good basic trackpad
The touchpad is exactly as advertised. Very basic features, and plug & play. The gestures work fine; however, I only use double finger up and down for scrolling and single tap for click. The left and right buttons have a nice clicky snap to them that gives it nice feedback whenever you interact with them. And the surface area your fingers interact with to move the cursor has a slight texture but nothing significant. It's not smooth like glass but not rough like sand paper. For the price it meets my expectations. My hands are quite bad and I can't use a traditional mouse. I prefer this over a trackball style setup and would recommend it to anyone in my situation.I'll admit the one thing I forgot is that there's no middle mouse button, but that seems common among all trackpads and just highlights my oversight during pre-purchase.

works faily well with an Ubuntu Linux desktop
i prefer to use touch pads instead of mice to keep my carpal tunnel situation under control. i have touchpads for my mac mini and my macbook air, which i like a lot, and went looking for a product that would work with my Ubuntu 24.04 linux desktop at work.this plugged right in and just worked with no install tomfoolery. the multitouch gestures are similar enough to the ones i use on my macs that there was not a huge amount of adjustment to be made. the only issue with touch gestures is that tap on the pad doesn't particularly work, you still need to use the buttons.the other issue is that positioning is fussier than with the macs. i need to look and see if there is any tuning available to settle this down. it does work, though, and i'm glad i got it. my right wrist is also glad i got it.

Peripad-504 does not install as a touchpad device in Wondows 11
I really wanted to like this product. It is compact, touch sensor has a slightly textured surface and the buttons have a definite feedback to them, not unlike a switch keyboard. Used without a wrist pad, the 504 is a little high for continuous use. When used with a wrist pad, it is comfortable. The problem is that the 504 installs as a mouse. Period. Taps,Sensitively and Scroll operation are set by the firmware in the device and cannot be altered. Would it have its own driver for configuration, the device would be very usable on win7, 8, 10,11. Since the device is not recognized as a touchpad, the Win11 touchpad driver, even with its shortcomings, is not an option. So, I returned this product and replaced with the Keymecher Mano.

Perfect for a sim rig.
Multi-touch and scrolling are a bit fiddly. (This is not Apple-class.) But it otherwise does exactly what I need it to do. Nice and big and able to be wired into a sim rig. Works great!

forced gestures and windows thinks its a mouse
the hardware is perfect. the size, shape, and color are perfect. the texture, sensitivity, and accuracy are perfect. the physical clicky buttons feel perfect.but windows recognizes the touchpad as a mouse and not a touchpad, so there are no options to toggle gestures, especially tap to click. so every couple seconds my mouse just does stuff at randomwhy would you put tap to click on a peripheral which has its own physical clicky buttons? i wouldnt buy a touchpad with physical clicky buttons if i wanted tap to click. why add terrible " innovative" features which cannot be toggled? why not make official drivers to do that when you have them for your other products?better yet, why not make windows recognize your touchpad as a touchpad so all these options are provided by my own OS? im using a different touchpad right now which was recognized as such and so windows let me turn off that stuff very easilyi am so, so disappointed.

a bit too high and too textured
I use a Lenovo Carbon notebook and love the touchpad. It's low, smooth, and its action buttons are at it's top.The Peripad is a quality item, but I could not get comfortable with its height. I've got large hands and even so i found its height a problem. Another challenge for me is its textured surface. The Lenovo surface is totally smooth and so easy to navigate. Peripad's is textured and, for me, hard to get used to. Last, the activity buttons located at the base was one more obstacle for me to relearn. I tried to turn it upside down to accommodate, but then all the cursor movements are reversed. If I had to adapt to this pad I'm sure I could. But it would take some effort. So sending it back!

Amazing product, easy to use, can change scroll directions
This touchpad perfectly suits my needs and surpasses my expectations. I use it with my Windows 10 Dell laptop (docked, lid closed) with an external keyboard and mouse because I also wanted access to a touchpad. The Peripad-504 was immediately recognized as a “mouse” upon connecting with no additional action required. It works wonderfully. Since I also use a Mac with a Magic Trackpad (which I absolutely love), and the scroll directions on Mac are opposite the scroll directions on Windows, I found some instructions on the internet for how to edit the Windows registry to “FlipFlop” the scroll directions for the Peripad-504 to match my Mac. Extremely happy with this touchpad.
