Quality you can feel
This is one of those tools that just by holding it, you feel the quality. The fit and finish feels great, and it's easy to tell it's properly tempered.I was able to use it to remove a frozen cup and cone lock ring from a vintage bike whose notches had already been worn and mushroomed by previous attempts. I am confident that an off-brand cheaper tool wouldn't have performed as well.

Works great, feels solid
This is one solid piece, was a lifesaver for me removing a seized bottom bracket ring. My other spanner was unable to remove it, but after more PB and the single tooth side of this spanner, and still quite a bit of torque, voila. Access to the bb. It is large which is useful for leverage and it feels sturdy. It is a fair price for a well known brand, when compared to local stores. I would recommend it.

Did what it was supposed to.
It did what it was supposed to do. It would have been nice to have some sort of design change made to the tool to make it less likely to slip off in either direction (while juggling the pin spanner on the other side), but it does have to be made with different bike designs in mind. It worked, not much more to say than that other than I used it on my 2008 Diamondback Lucky 24 successfully, along with a Park Tool SPA-4.Update 09/01/2011I used it again today on an old 1 piece crank on an late 80's Haro BMX. It worked great, the nut that held the chain wheel tight against the rest on the crank and kept the pin in the hole fit perfectly, and much easier than the newer style Diamondback I mentioned. All in all if I said it was good for unsealed American bottom brackets I might be selling some other options short, but I certainly would be dead on with three things I worked with.Update 11/21/2011I found this thing works well on the lock ring for a two-piece driver also. Redline Device Rear Cassette Hub 2006+ 48H 14mm Black I used the "single tooth" side on this and guessed at 30Ft lbs (I'm pretty good as a human torque wrench). Worked great.

Worked ok for my first time use
Wish it had more teeth to get better grip. Other than that, was good and long enough to turn. Working on things im use to working on. Im use to a bit more metal than a skinny ring.Taking off those rings and the bearings out, make sure to have a heat gun, Comes in very useful. Doesn't burn the paint if done right. Meaning in low heat and not for too long.

Good Tool
Works perfectly and is pretty universal. It can remove multi-notched lock/retainer rings.

Essential
Another solid bicycle repair and maintenance tool from Park Tool. I got this to remove the lock ring retaining the rear cog on my 6KU fixed gear bicycle. I have now used this tool multiple times to remove, re-install, and tighten the lock ring, and it has worked well in spite of the fact that neither end seems to be specifically for my particular style of lock ring. The side with the single tooth is a bit too wide to get a good grip on my lock ring, so I use the more crescent-shaped side with three teeth, which doesn't fit my lock ring exactly either, but still gets a good grip.Like a good pedal wrench, the flat profile of this tool allows it to easily slide into the tight spaces it needs to go to do its job, and the solid construction insures that it won't break or bend in use. It also takes up little space in a pack, so I usually carry it with me in case my lock ring slips. This is a simple, durable, and handy tool that every bicycle mechanic, whether professional or amateur, should have in his collection.

The correct tool to remove BB-7700
This tool was perfectly suited to my needs, as I was removing a BB-7700 which was used on dura-ace for a short time in the late 90's/early 00's. Both the single pin and triple pin ends properly engaged the lock rings on either side of the BB. Although i have large channel locks and vise-grips, I think resorting to those would have damaged my frame and possibly chewed up the ring to the point where I had a major problem. Worth the $15 to do the job properly in a few minutes! I installed a BB-5500 which is a bit heavier but maintenance free. I hoped to rebuild the BB-7700, but there were signs of corrosion on the RH spindle and the wear pattern from the needle bearings was irregular. There had been freeplay in the crank and this is the likely source. Shimano was right to ditch this design. Good park tool for a specific need.

One purpose tool
This tool literally only does one thing but it does that one thing really good honestly I wish I could have just 3d printed something that can tighten the lock rings on bikes because this thing is kinda expensive for a piece of metal cut into a special shape
