Keeps some of the litter in place but not all. Wish there were a way to keep the mat in better place besides sitting the box on top. It still moves.

We purchased the mat a few months after our genie. Pellets were being tracked all over our home (far more than traditional litter). After the mat was in place we did notice that it helped some, but there are still pellets everywhere in the house. I think the sanisolution makes the pellets tacky, so they stick to the cats feet more easily than traditional litter. If you step on a pellet bare foot, you'll notice it's not just easily brushed off. I think this is why it tracks so much. Overall, I give it 3 stars b/c it DID help, but minimally.

This is the greatest thing we have bought for our cat. He took to it right away and we never have to scoop poo again. What I don't like is: you have to be pretty handy (my husband is) to install it. It makes a lot of noise when it is cleaning. Sometimes my ENTIRE house smells like cat poo, and I have to run it again. But, generally I really like the machine.

Placed in front of cat genie. Catches most all the excess glass granules (litter). Really does a good job. Not as much clean up using it. We love all of our cat genie products and so does Betsy our cat. I don’t have to handle litter and is always fresh smelling.

I got this because these little pellets do track a lot and they're so hard to get off your foot if you step on them. The mat does a great job of catching them, but it doesn't get them all, which I didn't really expect it too. I also like that you can pour the pellets right back into the cat genie. I'd buy it again.

I would not recommend buying from this company. I own two of these machines. Their business practices and philosophy are terrible. I attempted to buy a small, rubber, seal for the hopper, a maybe $2 part and they refused to sell it to me unless I provided proof of where and when I buy my cartridges and replacement granules. They wanted me to find my Amazon receipts and send them to them in order for me to order a part. They cited "company policy". Never, in all of my years of business and dealing with businesses have I encountered such a ridiculous request. This company operates from a place of scarcity mentality and I regret ever having supported them. The funny part is I have all of the accessories, and recently bought the $35 granules catching mat. What Cat Genie needs to learn is that it costs eleven times more to lose a customer than to acquire one. If you buy this machine, be ready to deal with ridiculous corporate policy like this. Furthermore, what they don't tell you is that it doesn't always capture all of the feces into the hopper, and you will end up getting to know the smell of cooked feces in your house when it gets stuck, not scooped, and heated by the blower on the dry cycle. Have a good day. I wish I never supported this company. Imagine if they sold me the little rubber seal for my machine, much vitriol could have been prevented. Good luck with that customer last "company policy".

It is so wonderful to have a product that works automatically. No more scooping litter for me. I absolutely love it so far.
