2Watt N-J.K Connector Type Coaxial RF Attenuator DC to 6.0GHz,50 Ohm,10db

For the price you can't go wrong, keep in mind this isn't an agilent laboratory grade attenuator but for your average hobbyist the performance is more than acceptable. I swept these with my Agilent vector network analyzer up to six gigahertz and the response was relatively flat within 1/2 a db. If you need more precision than that you can compensate for it. With that said the overall fit and finish Is perfectly acceptable for hobbyist level work. The Knurling Is adequate, The threads look very good for this price point as does most of the machining. Keep in mind you are looking at a hobbyist or general grade product if you're buying this thinking you're going to get agilent or Rohde & Schwarz quality and performance then you might be disappointed. On the other hand if you're a ham radio operator looking to add a 2 watt 10DB attenuator to your collection without breaking the bank then this is what you're looking for. It comes in a very nice foam fitted case with end caps to protect it, if I had to find something to complain about It would be the laser etching which is a little light and difficult to read. Other than that I think it's a great value and performs well above its price point.

Fairly nice inline attenuator. The etching on it actually says "DC–8G" but my equipment only goes up to the listed 6 GHz anyway — and it does have good flat response at least up to there. Seems pretty well machined and nicely marked. There's a few little chips out of the threads here and there but they still run plenty smooth.

This 10dB 2W attenuator with N-type threads was just what I needed to get a signal I was measuring down within the usable range of my analyzer. It seems to have been machined and put together well, and the connections fit together smoothly. At my frequency of interest, the attenuation I observed was within 0.1dB of the listed 10dB value. I'm very happy with that and it has delivered the same level of performance I've gotten from much more expensive attenuators in the past. Once again, Becen delivers excellent value in RF products. I'm completely pleased.

Not everyone has a VNA so I did a quick sweep from 0 to 3.2GHz. I calibrated my VNA to show a flat 0dB from each port then I added the attenuator in line to show the difference, showing its intrinsic S21 response. It's mostly flat, +- 0.5dB approximately. If you want to use it to do measurements you definitely need to compensate for it in your VNA or spectrum analyzer. Connector seems to fit well, no issues. I think I'll use it on my VNA/spectrum analyzer as an extra protection from its frontend. One nit is that the maximum power is not written on the case. So take a sharpie and write its power rating before you forget (2W max). The case does say 10dB Att, so that's covered.

this attenuator checked out. It’s pretty much flat up to 6 GHz I wish it had better markings as to its bandwidth. It is marked as 10 DB.

I tested this attenuator by injecting a 10mVpp 50MHz input into the small spectrum analyzer that was set to 0dBm at its input. As the pictures show, the decrees was -10dB as advertised. Spot on! Physical build: See photos: very nice build quality. This thing has some weight to it, too! As you can see, it has markings on its body that label its function. A close inspection of the contacts shows quality stamping thereof. SHIPPING: Really fast - in my case 2 days after ordering it! CONCLUSION: Yes, I can recommend this RF Type-N Attenuator. Nice device!

This attenuator is not bad for ham or casual bench use. It is well constructed and fits N connectors snugly. Attenuation is correct within my ability to measure. It will make a good addition to my spectrum analyzer.
