I've had several ring lights, and this one is by far the best I've had.Pros:-Can use NP-F970 Batteries, so you don't need to plug it in.-Holds some weight, Can mount a camera with a lens on it-Decent brightnessCons:-The adjustable angle knob is a bit weak, it can slip if you have a heavier camera mounted. But overall not bad.-Cheap tripod, it works, but there's better out there.Other:-I don't use the remote, no need, so I can't say how functional it is.

The media could not be loaded. The light is extremely bright when on 100, the room can be dark and once this light is on you wouldn’t even know. I have had it for 2 years as a travel mua, easy to set up .

This is definitely a more affordable and long term option to a costly and temporary photo booth rental.

A nylon pouch for the standIf you do video or photos, at some point someone's going to ask for a ring light. It's a flattering light and creates that round reflection in the pupil that people want. I chose this particular light because I want a larger light and 19" seems the largest. It's well priced. It has option of battery vs plug in power, and it has dual color temperature. In use it's been real good. It's plenty bright for just about any occasion, but what's nice is that it dims to 1%...which is important to me. It does run on ubiquitous NP-F type batteries. It will charge your iPhone/iPad both on battery power and on plug in power. But it won't charge the NP-F battery when plugged in.There's always a few things they could do better. First, the diffuser panel clips on and does have the tendency to fall off. The entire light is plastic and doesn't feel sturdy. It's impossible to completely tighten down the iPhone/iPad mount. Despite my concerns about the sturdiness, it has no issues holding 2 NP-F 970 batteries. I do wish it would charge these batteries when plugged in. I paid $110 for this light and at that price it's a great value.

Update: I used the ring light for a “photo booth” at 2 gatherings and it was a big hit! The pictures turned out great! Unfortunately, my ring light broke in half after 2 uses (it literally just fell over in the middle of a picture). Luckily it didn’t damage the iPad. I contacted the seller and was sent a brand new one for free!

So I’m a content creator, and I’ve been using umbrella lights, natural light, and wall lights to film and take pictures (as you can see in the picture, I have a collection!). However, this is the BEST LIGHT I probably could’ve purchased. I’ve used ring lights before, but have never seen one with the option of using NP batteries so I can take this on location or outdoors to use. It was incredible easy to assemble. I had it set up within 15 minutes of unboxing. When testing out the light and color settings, I was amazed at how bright it was, even at just 25%. Best investment for your money by far. I’d recommend to anyone in need of a ring light! My makeup has never looked better in photos! Also love the travel case so I can easily carry it. It’s incredibly light weight!

The light itself is not bad, but the stand and all the accessories are junk. The light does not lock down onto the tripos tightly and wobbles. All the adaptors/holders are junk because you can't lock them down tightly. They're poorly made and you can't get your fingers in to tighten the locking wheels. None of the adapters/holders sit level either, so you're always dealing with a crooked image. I purchased a separate tripod to mount any item used for recording. Oh, and I would NEVER mount an SLR camera on this thing. It's nowhere near sturdy enough to hold that kind of weight.

I'm a new YouTuber, who'd been hesitant to buy lighting, felt like my natural light was enough. This is definitely a game changer, and I wish I'd have purchased it sooner, It was little tricky to put together...Just a little... because it didn't come with real instructions. Luckily I was able to look it up on Youtube. lol, and it was pretty simple. This is a great buy, especially for the price. I definitely recommend it.
