I bought this memory for a desktop that only had 8GB of RAM. The most important thing about ordering memory is you order the correct memory. Knowing the model of your computer is critical. This memory will give the computer 16GB of RAM and will use less swap space meaning your hard drive will not work as hard. Sure enough after installation, I ran a memory test on a hardware layer, and it passed as expected. This will help going forward as I believe Windows 10 should never be running with less than 16GB. My compute experience going forward definitely improved the speed. Crucial is a well know brand, and comes in at a medium price point.
