(About me: 4'11", about 115 lbs, 26" waist, 39" hips. I ordered these with the intent to wear them as running shorts.)My measurements usually land somewhere between sizes Small and Medium, but I opted for a Small and have been very satisfied with the fit.I had a little bit of a hiccup with my first order. I ordered S, and the label on the outside of the package did say S, but the shorts inside were L. I had to return them, but did end up with the correct size afterward.The logo on the front and the 'BALEAF' on the back are reflective.The side pockets are a little more forward-facing than I was expecting--I thought they would be a little more towards the side seams, but it's not as though they're directly on top of the thigh or anything. Heavier objects may pull the pocket down past the hem, but that's unsurprising considering the stretch and flexibility of the fabric. I wouldn't use these pockets for actual exercise, as contents would be way too loose, and there's no zip closure. However, these pockets would be perfect for post-run errands or post-race festivities.The back zip pocket does fit an iPhone 11 with a case--it's kind of a tight stretch, but the pocket does zip closed. I tried running with my phone in this pocket though and there is a lot of bounce, which was both uncomfortable and a chafe risk. This pocket is better suited for ID or a credit card.The hidden pocket at the front of the waistband held my car key securely.As far as storage goes: I still take my flipbelt with me to carry my phone and keys on long runs.Even so, these are some of the comfiest shorts I own. The 5" length hides the worst of my cellulite and prevents my thighs from rubbing together. The liner stays put. The waistband is wide and sits right below my navel, no muffin top. I spilled water on myself and it was dried within minutes. Butt sweat doesn't show.I've washed them a couple times now without issue (cold gentle cycle, tumble dry low).These are my new favorite running shorts. I bought the grey (which I think is a little lighter than the product image) and purple colors.

I don't run much anymore but I bought these shorts for walking and summer hiking because I wanted a super light pair of shorts that were lined, but that also had pockets for my phone. These fit the bill perfectly! I'd also wear them playing in my volleyball leagues. The waist band does sit high, similar to a yoga pant or legging, but it's very comfortable and stretchy. The pockets are plenty deep for your hands or to hold your phone without it falling out. It feels like you are wearing air! The shorts are so light and the inner mesh feels like I'm not wearing much of anything. Fits true to size. I'm 5'8 and about 155 and always wear a size 8 pant or a medium. Love them so much I ordered the black and then a second pair in gray!

I'm 5'6", 150 lbs with muscular legs and butt, and these shorts are the best I've found for running so far. I've had problems with other shorts riding up during runs but these don't do that.The good things:I have a small waist compared to my lower body, so the elastic cinching waist is perfect for me.The material is so soft and breathable, and the 5" length is perfect- flattering but still modest.The back pocket is perfect for keys, cards, or a really small phone. (Edit to add, my Samsung galaxy 5 fits because of the generous stretch! Even better!)The downsides:The elastic in the liner is just a little too tight. For longer distances (like 7+ miles) it gets uncomfortable. So I just cut out the front part of the elastic band - problem solved!The pockets don't zip up, and sometimes they stick out a bit when I'm wearing them.Overall, I'm satisfied with this brand. I know I'll never find the perfect shorts but I'm ordering another pair of these because they're pretty close.

These shorts are good quality and the length is great. I have the 5 & 7 inch length and love they way they fit for walking, running and working out (much more appropriate for my age). The built in liner fits well and provides extra coverage. The pockets are great for a phone or locker key. The pair I've had for 3 months have held up well to yard work and exercise. Wash with other clothes then hang to dry or use delicate cycle in dryer. Have now ordered several more colors (purple is a beautiful dark shade).

I absolutely LOVE these shorts, and I’m not a runner! They are perfect for a hot desert summer hike, or not. They’re just plain comfortable!

I was excited to try these, but I'm sending them back. While the thighs don't necessarily gobble the material, they do rise a bit, which causes the pockets to stick out like they're trying to hitch a ride. If the pockets had zippers, they probably wouldn't have this issue. The panty liners fit, but the seams stick out fairly prominently on the butt area. Overall it is not a flattering look once you get moving. Back to the drawing board!

I have five pair of these shorts. They are light, airy, modest, great for workout or just sitting around. Unfortunately , this pair came in wrong length.

These shorts are light weight and work perfect for the gym. The front pockets gape a bit so of that is an issue you might want to size up a bit.

Very comfortable shirts and good sized pocket at the back. I wanted a slightly longer short so these were just what I was after. Very good quality

I chose these as they are longer than a lot of running shorts. Suitable for the more mature figure! At 60 I DO want to run but don’t want to show too much thigh. Comfy waist. Soft material. Not see through. Inner gusset. Two large side pockets but the zipped secure pocket in waist is VERY small - would only fit a slim key. Seem to be good quality and well made. Very reasonably priced. Sizing is on the small side so probably best to order a size bigger.
