Easy setup, work as expected.
I had a Bushnell weather FX5 while living in Albuquerque, NM, it was a five days weather forecaster. I liked it for the fact that I did not need to to log in WiFi and I checked it daily for the weather, including all my kids. Then the service stopped for Albuquerque. For a sentimental reason, I kept the device. Upon moving to Southern California in 2018, I decided to plug it in, just to try and, somehow, I had service. I used it until late Aug/2022, the service suddenly stopped. I googled as much as I could but I could not find out why the service was stopped. I found this device on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I received it on 9/13/2022. The setup took less than 10 minutes and it worked. It has four days forecast. I do not know how long the service will last but It is an excellent replacement for Bushnell FX5 for now. I noted several reviewers indicated some difficulty in setting the outdoor remote sensor. For me, that is not a problem as I do not have any intention to use the outdoor sensor. I have an outdoor thermometer already in place for me to check my outdoor temperature in real-time. I am very happy with my first impression of this device.

Was sent a broken previously returned item
When I got this it had already been returned once before it was sent to me and the outdoor temperature sensor didn't work so I returned it.The problem is that I want a weather forecaster that tells the forecast at least for tomorrow, and also tells the current temperature and what the high for today is going to be and if it's going to rain and it's hard to find. There's a bunch that have multiple remote sensors which is useless and I had a round one that had a forecast and told the current temperature from a nearby weather station or something, but wouldn't tell what the high for today was going to be or if it was going to rain, which makes it useless as well. This one is the only one that's set up in a way that would work if the outdoor sensor worked and that's the reason I originally gave it two stars instead of one, but then I ordered another one hoping for better luck and it was the wrong unit, one that forecast based on barometric pressure which is not what I'm after or what I ordered.

Very good product which mostly provided features anticipated
Very good product which mostly provided features anticipated. The one feature which has been slow and inconsistent to work is the visual picture in the upper left corner depicting the type of weather. The more the weather at the location varies, the less it is accurately reflected in this part of the display. Otherwise, the recipient of this gift loves the product.

Great Weather Station
I enjoy my weather station. However I’m still having trouble getting the outside temperature to register. I put batteries in the outside piece and hung it up five days ago and I’m still not getting any readings.the barometric pressure is not reading yet either. The main weather station has been up for more than two weeks now.not sure why I’m having these problems. Other things all worked quickly like the indoor temperature, time and date. The three day forecast isn’t working yet either. I definitely need help.

stopped working for the outdoor temp
I loved this unit when it worked, but about a week ago the outdoor reading stopped working, so we replaced all the batteries for the indoor and outdoor items, tried to pair up, tried delete and reset, nothing helped. I called the 800 number and no one answers.

I love it and wish I could give it 5 stars... It's close *** Update *** Lost another star
**** Update ***** Lost another star. I've now had the problem where the low temperature in the forecasts for the next three days read 191 degrees. No matter what I did, it wouldn't go away, all the way to a total reboot, taking the batteries out. A couple of days later it was ok again, but then went back to 191 degrees. Now it's working again. I'm not sure if it reads that when the forecast is for below freezing, or if it's just random. I see a lot of other people have had the same problem, so I'm watching it for a few more days and may return it. :( Too bad because it's really exactly what I wanted..... And now, it keeps coming disconnected to the outdoor sensor. The sensor is literally just outside of a window, less than 10' from the unit. I've tried moving it around, but no luck. New batteries too. It's just problematic and going back now. I really tried.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I really like this weather station. It's the only one that I've found that gives you a multi-day forecast, while at the same time gives you the live temperature at your home, rather than the temp in your town. The forecast comes from the internet but the temp from the outdoor sensor at your house. I was also excited to find that it will show you the 24 hour minimum and maximum temperatures and humidity. It doesn't say this in the listing, but simply press the Max / Min button on the back to scroll through. You can also see a temperature history on the Smart Life App, complete with a graph. There are also three different alarms that you can set with the app, as well as alerts for high and low temperature or humidity. So why only 4 stars? Well the display is very directional. You have to be looking straight on for it to be seen with good contrast. Move much at all and it fades.Help Topics:I've seen some reviews stating it's hard to set up, but it was actually very simple. You do need to have the Smart Life App downloaded on your phone, and set up an account, but it is free. I already had it so all I had to do was press the top snooze button for 3 seconds to put it in the pairing mode, the pressed + (Add) button on the app and it immediately found it, and then pressed it to add it. From there you use the app to set it up and connect to your Wifi, and enter your password. The weather station then connects to the internet and gets it's weather info and sets the clock.I also saw issues listed in reviews with connecting to the outside sensor. Make sure you put the batteries in the outside sensor first, then in the weather station, then plug it in. It connected within a few seconds. I then carried it outside and went too far away and it disconnected. To reconnect I had to unplug the station, and pull out one battery, then plugged it back in and it connected immediately again. The Wifi also reconnected automatically. Once connected it should be fine until you need to replace the sensor batteries, then power down and up again and it should connect. Some other reviewers stated that it is too bright. It's fine for a living area, but if you want it in a bedroom it could be bright at night. Simply top the snooze button on top and the light goes off.Power Failure or becomes unplugged? If this happens the batteries in the back will hold the current data in place. The clock will continue to run and the temperature sensors will continue to work. The light will go off to conserve the backup battery and the wifi will disconnect. Once the power is restored, it will reconnect automatically after a short period of time. If the power is out for a long time, you will lose the future forecasts and will only see dashes in the display. So I do love this weather station and if the display was visible at a larger angle, it would have 5 stars from me. I still would recommend it.
