Astonishingly Good Value For Money
I am immensely impressed by this TV which 'ticks all of the boxes' for me.Firstly, the TV provides a much faster response than my old (non-smart) TV and (smart-ish) PVR - switching-on and getting to the TV programme you want takes a couple of seconds.I also find the webOS system very intuitive and managed to work-out most of the functions without reference to the user guide - if all else fails, I will read the instructions.Wireless streaming of Amazon Prime and YouTube, for example, works well and I had no trouble pairing my Bluetooth headphones. My PVR plugs straight-in via an HDMI port though, after bit of faffing about with the quality of reception, I found it useful to purchase a 'splitter' which enables me to run a separate coaxial cable directly to each device rather than one from socket to PVR and another from PVR to TV.I have an old 'combination' DVD/VHS player and should be able to connect via a SCART/HDMI converter which' like the coaxial splitter, are very cheap. As an ordinary punter rather than a TV 'nerd', I find the picture and sound quality excellent though the Bluetooth and wireless capabilities provide options for streaming to HiFi systems. The only thing I wasn't too keen on are the rather delicate-looking feet which are set too wide apart to rest on my TV cabinet.I have resolved this by purchasing a separate TV stand which does fit.Based on size alone, this TV would have cost thousands a few years back so it really is astonishingly good value for money.

Seriously, if you want a tech review, look elsewhere
Look, it's a 50" smart TV. And it's LG. I'm no tech-wizard. Lg and Samsung make superb low-cost tvs. If you want all the latest OLED stuff you'll not be looking at this tv because tvs in this range don't embrace all the crazy stuff. All i can say is that it's a smart tv, has lots of smart apps, allows you to watch stuff in amazing 4k. It's big with a small price tag. Other reviewers will give you much more informed specs, comparisons and data. This is an award-worthy 50" tv from LG...for me, a trusted brand. I bought 3 of them. Couldn't be happier.

Really good TV.
This is a Very good TV for the price. The 4K UHD picture quality and colour is great. Good dedicated sound, although expectedly a little thin and lacking low end. Worth plugging in a soundbar. Smart features are really nice, with lots of device compatability and support, all the apps you'd expect. Menus and displays are nicely organised, intuitive and quite responsive. Mine came good as new from Electronic empire for £399, which is a great price for a 4K smart TV, and was delivered next day, much faster than Amazon estimate. The only problems: it's a 4K UHD TV. I'm not a huge fan. While it's great for gaming, watching tv, sport etc., when it comes to watching films it's a less than cinematic viewing experience due to the so called "soap-opera effect" due to higher refresh rates and motion interpolation adding frames. I'd recommend turning this feature of if your watching movies that are supposed to be viewed at 24FPS, otherwise The Godfather Part II will look like Eastenders. Thankfully there are a number of picture mode settings on the TV. By default the tv is set to "Vivid" which is quite a sickly viewing experience. I'd recommend switching it to "Cinema" or "HDR effect".The other slight problem is that the TV is slightly wobbly on it's legs and actually leans back a good few degrees even placed on a flat surface, which I've read is a problem all the current LG TVs have. Probably worth buying a dedicated TV stand to mount it on if you're not mounting it to the wall.Other than that, very happy with this purchase.

LG 50" smart TV 4k
So far so good, it came with obviously standard Freeview channels. Netflix prime videos LG free movies and channels also a movie button so you can watch certain free movies and watch films that are on at the pictures through subscription.Nice SIA picture that you can sharpen or soften through the settings. However it does not come with a paper manual it does say you can download it but so far I have been unable to but it is basically self-explanatory. You can cast videos from your phone straight to your smart TV.

Great picture and features
Excellent picture and decent sound quality (I use a separate sound bar most of the time though). No YouTube shortcut button on remote though and it takes several clicks to get there through menu, which is annoying compared to other TVs. Overall a great TV for the price I paid (was on offer at the time)
