Not for UK market??
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 3year old grand-daughter. On opening the package,I’ve discovered that the charging adapter is a 2pin for the American market. Given that the charger is specific for this item, is should have come with an adapter/ plug for UK market, given that it is sold here in UK. The supplier does not list an email address nor phone number. Only option is to return to Amazon, give a poor review in the hope it gets noticed by supplier and so correct this error.

Don’t buy
Money thrown away basically. It doesn’t do what it says. Don’t trust the promotional videos. This is a complete rip off.

potential to be amazing for 3-7 year olds but the app, particularly set up, lets it down a little
Well… get yourself a cuppa… this could take some time... So I have three kids and thought this would be good for my youngest who is 6 but we had so many issues setting it up that, by the time we actually had set it up the 6-year old had wandered off leaving the 10-year-old to claim this. You can only set up one child per robot as it uses face recognition and the name to tailor what it says. The initial problems we had setting up included that the app wouldn't recognise my sign up details, no matter if I tried to set up with email on the app (the only option to sign up there is) or if i tried to log on direct with Facebook, Apple or email. Eventually, in desperation, I used my work email which worked! It did also bug out and crash a few times during setup but eventually we got it working. I assume these are bugs that can be fixed as they relate to the app and not the robot itself. It was amusing to us that on the box it says installation is 10 seconds. Well clearly it's not- it took about an hour and a half for us! Customer services did respond to my email, but after I’d managed to get it working.Once we managed the painful set up process, we got into the app. The content really does appear to be more geared to younger children. Around preschool age I would say - things like practising pronunciation or themed words (Iike space and planets) or practising ABC and counting to 10. However, my 10 year old spent a lovely hour just talking to the robot and sharing information. Things like favourite colours, pets, stories about friends etc. Nothing sinister and although the robot has a camera (that you can use from the app to see what it sees and talk about of the robot) it also comes with camera covers so this can be disabled in a very low tech but effective way. The buttons on the charging stand let you prompt the robot to either sing a song, begin a ‘lesson’ (the content on the app shows you what) or tell a story. My child loved that there were different hats to change the look of the robot. Quite cute. The whole build feels like good quality, it’s a shame the app really let it down so far as the conversations they are having as I type this is really sweet! It does fuel the imagination for a child and because it comes with an adoption certificate and a plea to help it learn, my child feels responsible for Roybi now. It also uses their name and can apparently recognise them and their moods through fancy face recognition (this hasn’t happened yet, but it does say my child’s name when they play with it.)The video is excellent - super clear and great quality and it can act as a sort of camera or baby monitor also which is a great feature for parents of younger children (I don’t think it can alert you but it’s good to be able to check in on what’s happening sometimes!) You can also speak through it to your child. It’s on your home wifi and actually works without wifi too (not the camera of course, but all the talking features).I’m impressed with lots of things but also disappointed with some aspects. The set up does need to be improved and the issues we had with the app crashing could be sorted out. I read up online about this and I think this is a really new product that was initially launched at a higher price point and the company has been working to get the price down to affordable - feels like they need to concentrate on the app now though! So it’s got potential to be amazing for younger kids, I’d say max 6 or 7 given the current content, but of course that could change if they add content and make it dynamic which I think is probably the plan.

Overpriced unfinished learning toy
This will be a great interactive learning toy, but right now I feel like this is just a project or a prototype and it’s not a finished product. It looks like a premium product, it has a nice design, comes with 3 different hat, cable and charger and it also comes with camera cover for those who believe the company is using the product to watching and listening us (this can be a sensible topic especially if kids are involved). Also comes with a charging dock which is magnetised. I’ve needed to download an app to my phone, I’m using it with and Android Phone but they also have iOS version too. It meant to be only 10 seconds to set up the toy and connect it to the internet but it was a little bit more complicated to do it in just 10 seconds, it took me maybe 4-5 minutes but to be honest this was not an issue. It has so many interactive lessons for language, science, maths, geography, colours, currencies, countries, emotion which is great but they have to work a little bit more on the AI. The reason I think this toy is still just a prototype and it should not be realised yet is because I’ve was experiencing some annoying issues: 8 times out of 10 the robot doesn’t recognise my child voice or just purely misunderstanding it, it also does with my too, even if I try to hide my Scottish accent and I spoke with British or American accent. My other issue, when he finally recognises what we asking or telling to him, it takes him at least 20 sec to process the info and react to it. I’m not sure if this is due to a poor hardware (low clock speed processor installed in it) or it is software issue but to wait 20 seconds for a kid is a long time and they loses the interest for playing with it. Currently it only works with English language but according to they are website they working on other languages to add in the next few years which is a great news because this is a sign that they still working on this product and it will be more features in the future. They must have to focus to fix the speech recognition issue. Right now with this issues it does not worth £169.00 ( this is the price the time i write this review)

Good toy but with a few flaws
Setting it up was quite challenging, had to reset it once and still took ages. The installation was definitely longer than 10 seconds as the box suggest. So be prepared for a frustrating setup. The build quality is excellent, it feels solid and doesn't look like it's going to break if dropped a few times. Nice choice of hats, but the best one is the green hat. The adoption certificate is so cute. The lessons are quite good, I think they work well for children aged 3 to 5. Older children might find it boring.Doesn't seem to be an issue, but when you need to speak with it, the lips icon needs to appear and it takes a while to process. I would love to see a quicker version so it would perhaps feel more like a normal conversation.I think it's a great tool to keep the child busy doing something useful rather than just giving him a tablet with some games to play.I hope the speech recognition will be improved with some software updates, it's an expensive toy and I wouldn't be that happy to have to buy a new one for some small improvements.
