Woodstock W1218A Rotacator

The product is fantastic. It reliably, and repeatedly measure things down to sub thou degree. I got my planer and jointer tuned in as tight as could be using this. 5/5 product.However, the customer service is what brought me here to write this review. My son knocked this off the counter and broke the dial. I emailed customer service just to see if there was something they could do. I was hoping for replacement parts or something similar. They said they didnt have replacement parts, so they issued a full refund and allowed me to purchase a brand new one. I couldn't believe it. I had to repeat myself a few times to make sure they understood; "There was no defect with the product... my son broke it by knocking it off the counter. Are you sure I can return this for a full refund?!" But they said it was fine. So here I am. Shocked, and delighted.Ill be sure to order from Grizzly again.

I used this product to adjust the bed rollers on my 20 inch planer. I also use it to make sure that the blade on my 12 inch table saw is running true. And I set my jointer blades with it as well.This product is easy to use and very accurate. I wish I had bought this years ago. I’m getting more out of my machinery with it.

Great tool for various woodworking machines and just measuring relative depth in general.

really good measurement instrument

It’s a special tool with a special purpose. It made leveling my Grizzly G1033z with the Byrd Shelix a breeze. FYI it also works for leveling a SuperMax 19-38 drum sander a snap as well. Took me less than 5 minutes with this where it easily took 20 minutes or more adjusting it the way the manual tells you and it’s more accurate this way.

Was disappointed, came and it seemed like the gauge was sticking, also it was loose on the back plate.. hard to measure within thousandths when it moves in the wrong spots and doesn’t move smoothly where it should, returned it

Got this for the planer at work, always thought that something was wrong with it. This little tool pointed out just how terrible the adjustments were out. It immediately took out the odds of rolling hardwood on its side. The magnetic base is really, really strong. Kind of a pain to move it in tight spaces.

I was leery to spend this much to adjust my planer, but i am happy with my purchase. I had been trying to use finger gauges but i just couldn't get it right. When i slapped this puppy on the planer i was able to see just how off my finger gauge adjustments had been.When you think about how much lumber you run through a planer, this tool saves you a great deal of time, money, and frustration. Just pick it up. .
