Worked great on my very old cookbook and it’s clear.

Crystal clear, it obscures nothing. I have used it to: attach book covers that have separated from sewn bindings; secure loose pages within books; and to bind covers torn from books. Made in America, if that matters to you. Works equally well on paperbacks and hardbacks. The tape is NOT easy to tear; a pair of small scissors nearby is helpful. Alas, on larger projects, another pair of hands is necessary, so evaluate carefully before you start. Only time will tell if the tape discolors with age.

Too thick and hard to work with. Once it touches the page it sticks and you risk tearing the paper to reposition it.

I used it to fix book spines and covers. It adheres very well and strong enough to keep the books covers in place. Recommend.

Marketed as a book binding tape it basically doesn't stick to the paper and was useless for strengthening the spline of handmade deckled booklets
