HatsanUSA Vortex Strike .30cal Airgun Pellets, 48.6gr, 100ct, Gray (HA90643)

These pellets are good, if you make a sizer for your gun with these pellets you eliminate any deformations of the pellets. Drill out a 1.5 inch long x 3/4 bolt with a 9/32 drill bit lengthwise, and lap the inside with wet and dry sandpaper chucked into a bamboo bbq shish-k-bob stick -or similar- slit to fit the paper. I use a dremel to size to perfection :-). It takes some work but the result is a tool for these -or any- pellets that will now perfectly fit your gun. You can shoot them as is but if you make a sizer you will be happy with the results. The concept is the same for all airguns. The pellets are good but they make them a tiny bit big and they don't fit perfectly in the barrel without some sizing. Smaller pellets like .177 and .22 you can push in with your thumb these are too big to just push in with your thumb till you size them. At 8.99 this is a great price and the pellets are basic domed pellets similar to a Crosman premier shape. I also made a push stick that seats them out of a 5/16 dowel but that is not necessary. If you leave the skirts sticking out you mash them when you close the gun to shoot so size them if you can for better shooting accuracy and ease of use. Always be careful of your backstop with anything you shoot with.

These are hands down some of the dirtiest and overall poorest quality pellets that I’ve shot.However, having said that, they fly straight enough for plinking and hit like the proverbial freight train when they get there.I’m not an RMAC champion shooter and I don’t play one on TV, so when I say that these are adequate for hitting the same pellet hole at 88 yards when I miss what I’m shooting at, take that for what it’s worth.But, they are the cheapest .30 pellets that I have found so far and that can be important sometimes.Especially when you consider that they cost between 1/2 to 1/3 the price of .22 lr cartridges and can hit with the same energy as standard velocity .22lr bullets when used in a high power air rifle. Could be useful in a TEOTWAWKI situation or something.Or could be useful for perforating soda cans when you don’t want to waste your JSB or FX pellets for that.

They are working well on the Hatsan Blitz .30 cal. I have the latest model of the Hasan Blitz. I have had no problem with them for what I need. I suppose if you are looking for precision on a different type PCP. I cant tell the difference on my Hatsan between these and JSB Diabolo Exact.

These pellets arrived in good shape. These had the metal screw cans actually taped shut so they wouldn’t break open during travel. Pellets look to be in good shape.Downside being my two tins contained less than the advertised 100 pellets. Yes I actually counted them.

Vortex Strike works as advertised.

Head size is rather small, skirt size is so huge it sticks out from the chamber of my Hatsan 130 barrel break .30 caliber by a full millimeter.The skirt gets damaged if you close the barrel, so I had to use a pellet seat too to force them into the chamber to seat them and get skirt below chamber face.The pellets are dented, malformed, dirty and have lead chips and other foreign matter. They had an appearance of being poorly castGroups at 25 yards were all over the place. My normal JSB pellets grouped at less than 1/2'' for 5 shot group, these were 1 1/2" or greater at same target and range.Ammo being so hard to find, this is even more of a disappointment.

Los diabolos están todos maltratados de las faldas. Abusan de que fue una compra internacional, mejor compren los originales Apolo hechos en la misma fábrica en Argentina.
