Does this switch work with the playstation 5? I've had issues with getting switches to work properly with them.

My opinion, fwiw is that you need a switcher that has its own power source and is not drawing from the console via the cable itself. This will work with a PS5 but it may cut out intermittently due to lack of constant power. Basically you get what you pay for.

Supports VRR (variable refresh rate)?

I doubt, this switch predates the VRR tech.
