Perfect bedtime reading...
I really enjoyed this book. Each story is just a few pages long, but each one packs a punch and leaves you amazed that these things really occur in the world. The story about the buddhist monk who meditates 20 hours a day especially sticks in my mind (it will be explained when you read the book!).It was very easy to read, and I found myself reading "just one more" story whilst cooking, queing for the shops or before bed.I will definitely be checking out the other Moth books!

Great short stories
Enjoyed the other moths books a bit better but still some lovely stories. The true style of story telling comes through in these transcripts.

Not what the title suggests
I was initially intrigued by the title, the black cover and illustration which suggested to me that this book would be abundant with really magical, maybe supernatural unusual tales. Not so. Its just different accounts about quite odd yet mundane occurrances. I'm by no means blown away or amazed. One guy discovered his macho dad was a 'popular' bank robber and was pleased that he could raise his own son not to be macho (as his dad had tried to raise him). Seriously.I will wade through the accounts in the hope of finding a few gems, then this book is off to the charity shop where it belongs.
