50mm backing plate broke off short use on speed 4 in DA mode.Neck gets really hot after about 15 min use.I think mine will be going back and will also send email to manufacturer. Flying backing plates can cause damage.A lot of stalling and switching off in 50mm Rotary mode with wool pads on.I had really high expectations from this tool.I own other SPTA gear and it is really good for the money.

Was nervous buying this to be honest but now I’ve received it I definitely made the right move! Quality is better than I anticipated and it even came with the 2” pads so result. The seller should make their advertising less confusing because you actually get more than it says.

The media could not be loaded.  Took a chance and got this as i am getting my new car soon and wanted to ceramic coat it so this will help with those small areas a 6” pad cant.Its my first time using this type of machine and can honestly say its so easy to use. Initially i was getting a lot of stalling and couldn't figure out why but then realised that i was not holding it correctly but at an angle. The kit comes with everything you need and actually it comes with more than what is showing in the pics.Only thing is the book doesn’t say what pads are for what so just by the feel of it i assume green is heavy cut, blue is medium and yellow is final finishing. Mine came with the spanner and little allen key missing and have emailed the seller so thats why i have given it 4*.In terms of quality only time will tell but the machine seems well built. Someone mentioned the bigger backing plate had snapped because the thread was plastic but mine has arrived with a metal screw. Could also benefit from another spare battery and am told this will be available soon.

You also get 2 extension pieces in the kit (not shown in the advertised pic). One of the most important attachments!When you have it setup as a rotary. The sensor knows this and stops the machine if you apply too much pressure. I thought it was faulty...its not.You can just about get up to speed 3 on the rotary and apply very little pressure. Once you apply too much pressure the machine stops.It's sensitive but safe. G360 cutting compound on the yellow pad got out 1500 grit marks.On the DA attachment it doesn't cut out. You can apply lots of pressure on any speed.I think you need to be aware of this cut out sensor.Bargain. Shame I can't find spare batteries but they seem to last about 25-30 mins. Then 30mins to charge each one. SPTA won't ship me any spare batteries. (uk)

For what this thing is meant to do it is great - polishing small tight spots. This is not meant to be used for polishing entire car or even larger panels - there are certainly better and cheaper tools to do such job.Positives:- It is cheap - less than half the price or Flex PXE80.- Reasonably light and rugged- Comes with case, quite a few decent quality pads and 2 batteries- Can use 1" and 2" pads as well as both rotary and dual action modes- Included pads are durable and generally great qualityThere are no strong negatives, but it all comes down to price I guess:- 45min run time is for 1" DA, if you use 2" then halve the time, and halve it another time if you use rotary mode. So for example putting 2" wet sanding pad with 5000 grit will get you like 12min. It is not unreasonable, but considering the size of battery it doesn't have amazing capacity (only 2000mah). From dimensions it seems like it could easily fit 3x18650 cells... so potentially 30000mah, even run of the mill Chinese cells are like 6000/7000mah, so 18-21000mah would easily achievable... that is 10x capacity. Now I am not saying these should be included, but be "extended battery" option.- Charger is not ideal either, it only charges one battery at the time and looks like a bit afterthought, but it does the job.- the digital speed control isn't really as expected. With fresh battery I feel probably slightly faster then indicated, but as battery drains out the speed drops significantly... so if you run 3-4 on fresh battery, you may need to bump it to 5-6 by the end to keep it constant.- could you stall it... generally no, if you pushing it hard enough to stall on DA, then you just pushing it too hard. But it is not hard to stall it on 2" Rotary mode.- As well, although it could run 2" it is clear that was not the key part of design. DA counterweight balances well for 1", but on 2" it doesn't, it tends to only oscillate... you can get it spinning, but you will need to monitor your pads, pressure, hand movements and speed to keep it going. For this reason Flex has two different counterweights for different pad sizes.Other thing to consider - you can't buy spare batteries, nor other accessories and it kind of sucks. Does not mean package you get is not good, but it would be nice to see spare and extended size batteries, as well sets of 1 and 2" pads. It would be good if MF and wool pads would be marked, because you need to see how they work by trial and error... and by the time you figure out what they good for, they need to be replaced anyway.In summary, as a third or fourth polisher, and for only thigh spots where 3" and 5-6" machines could not reach this is great, battery life is sufficient, 1" works great with both DA and RO, but just don't expect to polish half of the car with it, or for it to be as refined as tools which costs 2-3 times more.

Doesn't work, well worked for hour, really terrible quality

I have only used this polisher for 20 minutes in total and today it has failed, motor doesn't run even though the speed indicator shows 6. Waiting for a response from the seller. I will definitely be requesting a refund, clearly not fit for purposeI did email the supplier, but never received a reply, definitely steer clear!!
