Love it.
I love it so much I had to buy a second one because I broke the lid a few days after I received it. So sad. I will continue buying it so long as they keep it in stock. The product I received is slightly different than is depicted in the product image, but I was pleasantly surprised that it is exactly what I’ve been wanting. It looks like the image a reviewer posted. The saucer center is deep which is perfect because it holds the cup in place. Most of the expensive gaiwan I’ve been looking at is designed this way. I bought this one because it is so inexpensive and I have another on the way that has a deep saucer so i was pleasantly surprised by the quality design of this one. The lid also fit really well, not all of them do. For the price I didn’t expect such a good fit and finish. It’s really light and delicate which I like because this help to disperse the heat when I’m brewing a pu-erh at 212F. I took pictures so you can see how snug the cup fits into the saucer. Please excuse the remnants of a nummy pu-era.

My first Gaiwan and I love it
When I received my gaiwan, I was so giddy and eager to try my first brew. Ever since then, I've been brewing as many teas as I can get my hands on–– and its wonderful! The edges of the lid and bowl are very crisp and paper-thin they make a delicate CLINK! sound. If you're a beginner brewer, this is a great start and you can look up videos on how to serve different types of teas with it.Lastly,, it looks like I did not receive my floral drinking cup to wish I can pour my brewed tea into.

Smaller than expected
I was expecting a normal size gaiwan and when I received this I was surprised to find it is almost half the size I was expecting. The product is fine and very nice. I just had no way of knowing how small it was.

Slightly Different Than Picture
This is my first Gaiwan, and I wasn't expecting it to be so small, but it will work well enough for solo sessions. Two things to note are:-The actual gaiwan I recieved was taller and narrower than what was advertised (which isn't a huge deal to me)-Practically it only holds about 100ml, the 120ml measurement is only when the gaiwan is full to the brim

Handle with skill....
I love drinking out of this thing. Oh... I dropped and broke the lid within the first hour after unboxing. This really takes some practice (and yes... SKILL) to brew tea in. The skill part is holding strong to the lip while pinning the lid down with the index finger while pouring out the hot liquid magma inside the cup. Yes... the lip will be SCALDING HOT while pouring through the opening you maintain with the index finger between the cup and the lid. If you get the angle JUST RIGHT and keep the liquid below the lid level it is possible to avoid scalding your fingers, but it's not easy... as it should be Gong Fu. I do love this as a cup and saucer for tea, it feels great to hold and sip from. Until I got a second gaiwan, I did occasionally brew from it using the saucer as lid, which actually works surprisingly well for a Frankenstein method.

Don't buy. Different from photos and flawed.
I own a lot of teaware and love the simplicity of 100 ml gaiwans. The image shows a gaiwan that works perfectly for about 1-3 people to enjoy tea gongfu style.Instead of the gaiwan in the image, I received a similar gaiwan that is taller and has a narrow base and narrow saucer base. You might not think it would, but this makes a huge difference — the gaiwan I received wobbles and is very unstable. It's not so much that it will spill over, but rather that the wobbling is annoying and a result of bad design. I would recommend against this gaiwan and if you do order it, know it is different from the one in the photos at the time of this review.

Great first gaiwan
This is my first gaiwan, I purchased it after reading more about the benefits of using a gaiwan vs teapot with a spout. It is simple and well-built; very easy to use and clean. I have used it with a variety of teas (green, herbal, black, pu'erh) and little or none of the leaf makes it into the cup regardless of how small -- the lid leaves the perfect amount of space.
