Womens Work Tops Elegant Short Sleeve Victorian Blouse

Fit was perfect and looked great! I got a lot of compliments!!

I tried this with a couple different skirts & pants for work, very nice & feminine. It's also a good shirt for Renfaire or steampunk/pirate/Victorian cosplay. I ordered a size up, and it's a bit looser in the bust than I expected. The torso is customizable due to the ribbons along the back. If you aren't used to corset lacing, it may be helpful to have someone help you set the top the first time - you can reach around and just draw the ribbons from the bottom, but that ends up making the torso tighter than you may like it. No issues with the front buttons or snaps, but the snaps look delicately sown on and may need reinforcement with stronger thread. The fabric is double-gauze, which is soft and lovely - no concerns with transparency. The elastic in the sleeves may be bothersome if you have larger arms. It isn't as stretchy there as I would like. Given it's flat-packed, be prepared for wrinkles. Steaming probably required. Given the button loops, lace details, & fabric, I'll be handwashing this or putting in a mesh bag on the Delicates cycle of the machine, then hanging to dry. My package had a first-use seal before you could open the main bag, and included a tissue insert. Clearly this was not a returned item. Very happy with this shirt & the vendor.

I'm 5'3", weigh 112, 34DD bust, 25" waist, & small framed. Wasn't sure on sizing because my bust is always too big for this type of cut if the waist isn't going to swallow me. I got the S & M in red, and will say that the red isn't as pretty in person. It's a more dull red than pic, but it at least doesn't have the orange undertone of so many red clothes (I would have sent both back if that had been the case. The medium fit me nicely. Plenty of room in the bust, and didn't look oversized on ribs and waist. It fit well enough I almost didn't try on the small, but did. The small still fit in the bust without looking weird on my bust, and it fit slightly more snuggly. The upper back felt a bit tight when I rolled my shoulders, but not horribly so. I normally wear a small top, but depending on style have gotten XS & M sometimes. I could have easily gotten away with keeping either of them, and looked nice. Neither had the button gap issue anywhere either. I ended up deciding to keep the small and returned the medium. I washed it in lukewarm water, and dried on low heat. It took that well, but to my disappointment will need some ironing. The buttons are difficult to button. The "button holes" are TINY elastic bands that have to be stretched around the half ball type buttons. My small fingers still had trouble. Overall I do like the blouse, and imagine I'll have it for many years to come. I believe that getting your normal size should be a good choice on sizing.

Very lightweight fabric, and the ruffles on the sleeves are so cute, but I had to return it because it's made for busty women. The bust was much too big.

This is a great top! The price is right, it’s lightweight, and the cut/shape fits well on larger chested women too. It’s blessedly not tight under my arms, and I can reach straight up without issue! That’s not the case in all garb. The back has a corset lacing detail that helps to cinch in the fit in the bodice. It’s not a structured bodice with boning, but is a firmer non-stretchy synthetic fabric that fits well, and has a nice feel against your skin. The collar is odd, but once you get it steamed/washed it’s easier to help lay. It’s not at all bothering my neck either. It’s going to be a great addition to a Ren Faire garb for a HOT Texas climate. The color is pretty comparable to a dark khaki.

Omg, this shirt is absolutely adorable!!! I would, for my girls with larger tatas, go a size up, just for that extra room, but omg. It's like unbelievably comfortable, breathable (and honey, I live in Florida) perfect cut perfect weight. Very well made. Will definitely be shopping with Scarlet Darkness again, and again lol!!!

This top is really cute. It was purchased as a costume but it’s cute enough to wear as a casual/dressy top. I’m 5’8” & weigh 160. The large was perfect. It’s soft material but I haven’t washed it yet. I hope I can dry clean it because it looks like it might wrinkle.

I really wanted to love this. It's going to have to go back though. I got a small and the whole thing was too large for me, but not in a way that I could adjust for. It's very loose on the top and somehow in the midsection it's both loose and tight at the same time. Like it's loose, but you can see skin between the buttons making it look like it's too tight. If I pull the strings to tighten it so it's not super loose, the Gap looks bigger. If you watch the mighty boosh, I feel like Bob fossil.

Didn't even get a chance to wear it. Cold wash and air dried it like I do for all my clothes when I buy them online. Now it's far too small. At least 2 sizes down if not 3.

I’m not sure why this has bad reviews. I absolutely love it. Great fit and the colour is absolutely beautiful. I had being trying for ages to find a top to go under my gothic outfit and this is the one!

Too small

This is even better than I expected. It looks the part in my steampunk outfit.
