Cool (color) light, adjustable brightness. Great for lighting dark halls or stairs.
We bought two of these to add some night lighting to a dark back staircase. On the "medium" light setting they put out more than enough light for this purpose and we're pleased with the purchase. Notes: - The color of the light is cooler, more like a 4k LED than an incandescent - The unit has a sensor so the light will come on automatically when it gets dark (unless the unit has been manually set to "off") - The units have different light settings including "off", "ultra low", "low", "medium" and "high", which are manually changed by pressing the face of the light - These come with two different "covers" for the light; one clear plastic piece and a "grill" fixed louvers that face down. They are easily switched by sliding one off and sliding the other on. - These say "tamper resistant", which to me sometimes means 'impossible to insert a plug' but I have not found them to be difficult at all Pros: - Easy to install and well made - Sleek addition of auto-on, auto-off night lighting without loss of outlets - Adjustable brightness is a nice feature - Definitely more than enough light to see your way in the dark Cons: - If you're looking for a warm color light, you may not be pleased with these. There appears to be an "amber" version that may be more suitable as a nightlight: https://www.amazon.com/Legrand-Seymour-radiant-NTL885TRAMBERW-Outlets/dp/B07FMTJ8B2/ref=sr_1_2?th=1 - The "grill" cover doesn't do much to direct the light, and light bleeds around the outside of it (photo attached) so I didn't find it to be a good looking option.

Quality product from Legrand!
This is the only brand I will buy. This is an excellent night light with dual receptacles, has four adjustable light settings, works well and lasts long! Quality products

Modern, Sleek Night Light Outlet
Adds a nice glow to a standard outlet. Sleek LED light with louvers. A touch of class! Can turn it off or choose from 4 different brightness settings. For nice illuminated outlets/switches that add a nice subtle, classy glow, the Legrand Radiant Series I think is the best out there.

Saves an outlet, Adjust light to your needs
I bought this unit for the master bathroom to reclaim an outlet (it had a nightlight plugged into it). The unit was easy to install with the existing wiring. Read the instructions. Only one set of piles control the night light. I played around with adjustable light. The high setting is pretty bright at night. We have it set on the lowest level and it's enough to see what you need in the middle of the night. I have not had the problem mentioned in other reviews on the auto on/off not working. I have noticed that when both outlets have plus in them, it needs to be brighter for the unit to turn off. If we had more visitors I would get one for the guest bathroom.

The unit installs very easily. It’s just a replacement of the outlet plate ...
The indoor path from my basement family room, to the bedrooms is obviously dark at night. In order to prevent family members from having to turn on, and potentially leaving lights on all the way through the house I was looking for a night light solution. I bought three different products including the one listed here. I’m posting the same review in each product for simplicity. First, the SnapPower Guidelight - Outlet Coverplate with LED Night Lights, Duplex. This was the product I had the most hope for, and it was the most disappointing for the purpose I needed it for. The unit installs very easily. It’s just a replacement of the outlet plate cover and of the three products, it was the easiest to install. My problems, which may be only pertinent to my needs and use of the light are twofold. First, the amount of light is not really adequate. If it the only light you are relying on to navigate a dark hallway or other space, it’s not bright enough. I would use it in a bedroom though, perhaps for a child that wanted some light. The second problem was the light sensor is not sensitive enough. The light stayed on almost all the time, unless it was very bright (think full sunlight) in the room. This is not a disaster as the LED lights are very energy efficient, but just something that I think could be improved. Second, the Legrand-Pass & Seymour NTL885TRWCC6 Nightlight with Two 15 AMP Outlets with Cover. This unit took more effort to install than the SnapPower as it was an outlet swap-out. It also required a new plate cover, the same kind that covers a GFIC outlet works perfectly, but is something else that must be purchased. The Legrand is brighter than the SnapPower light and was very adequate for lighting the dark hallway. It however suffered the same short coming in that the light sensor was not sensitive enough and the light stays on most all day long. It is not installed in a dark, long hallway either and I know about, and did adjust the sensitivity. It was just not adequate from keeping the light on most of the day. Third, the Eaton TR7735W 3-Wire Receptacle Combo Nightlight with Tamper Resistant 2-Pole. Installation was similar to the Legrand-Pass unit. It did however require that both the neutrals be twisted together and a short pigtail wired be used to connect to the single neutral post on the outlet. Add one wire nut, and one very short piece of 14-gauge wire to installation. This unit also required a new plate cover, the same as used to cover a GFIC outlet. It also replaces one outlet with a nightlight, so there is a trade-off. For my use, this was not an issue as the only thing that ever gets plugged into the hall outlets is a vacuum. As for function, the Eaton outperformed the other two in both brightness (which is adjustable) and light sensitivity. It turns the light on at a ambient light level that is just when you need it to come on. It is off during the day, on when you need it. I’ve be buying more of these units to light the path all the way to the bedrooms in my home. In rating these, I didn’t consider the ease of installation as they were all fairly easy for me, but if you’re not comfortable changing out an electrical outlet either hire a pro, or go with the SnapPower Guidelight. Otherwise, opt for the Eaton, unless giving up an outlet is not an option in which case the Legrad-Pass is the best solution. In any case, any of the three are superior to a nightlight sticking out of the wall and I would recommend any one of them.

Receptacle? Or is the countertop lighting?
These are great for kitchen countertops. They provide a nice nightlight setting for a dark kitchen at night. You don’t have to turn on that bright kitchen light just to get a cup of water. The receptacle illuminates enough light to maneuver around the kitchen. I am a contractor and suggest these to all my customers. Most of them get it.

Before buying I asked the question "does this have an OFF mode?" as I wanted to use it as a reading light. (We have an outlet by our kid's bed.) It does indeed have an OFF mode... 4 brightness settings and then an OFF. And brightest is quite bright. After a couple weeks use it would not stay on. At first I thought the product somehow had an overheating sensor, or that the sensor had degraded to no longer appreciate a dark room. I asked for a replacement and promptly received one (sending original back). However, the product was NOT defective (replacement behaving the same), it was my setup that was at fault... We have an INFRARED CAMERA in the child's room, so we can monitor him from around the house. The change between a well-working night-light and constantly-turning-off night-light was whether the IR light was directed at the outlet... infrared was making the night-light think the room was too bright, and causing it to turn off. So I'm revising my review from 3-star to 5-star. I adjusted the IR camera and now it functions as a wall-outlet reading light, as it was doing before the camera had moved. However, after a couple weeks of use, it became unreliable and started operating differently. ON no longer stayed on, and OFF was sometimes difficult to cycle to. Of the 4 responses I got to my question "does this have an OFF mode?" 3 said yes and 1 said no. I now see what the 1-no-response was talking about. When not operating correctly it does appear to have no OFF mode (unless you patiently keep trying to cycle it off again and again). Do not know if it overheated, but now it only takes 2 minutes for the light to start cycling on & off and is no longer useful for reading-light purpose. And I suspect would be useless for a find-your-way nightlight too. Have ordered a replacement. Was a great product until behavior changed. I'd guess we left it ON at full brightness one morning, and maybe most people use it in a less-bright setting when they leave it on. Might be why it became "used up" or damaged or whatever.

Great outlets, and adds enough light for floor or counter without needed main lights on.

I like very much the possibility of choosing between four brightness level and even turning it off completely if I need too. This is used in a hallway near a living room where guest can sleep occasionnaly so turning it off or dimming the light a bit is very useful.

I installed these in four of my bathrooms and a 3 of my hallways. I think they put out the perfect amount of light out for me and the photocell works good and turns off with the presence of light. I have a couple concerns however. Since this is a light, young toddlers are attracted to it and there is a clear peice that easily slides on and off and a baby would have no problem playing with this for a few seconds figuring out how to take the clear slide off and put it in their mouth possibly choking on it. What I did was put a dab of glue on it so it's permanently attached. The other issue is at 27 dollars (July 2018) these are over priced by the seller. I was able to find them when I wanted a few more for 33% cheaper at the local hardware store at a regular price.

Excellent product. I’ve installed 3 already and they all work properly. You have to make sure to not overtighten the decorative plate that you install around this receptacle as the nightlight is actually a button that you press to change the intensity of the light. Otherwise it might start flashing or acting up.
