When you cut a strip can you attach the spare piece to another power supply?

Not unless you happen to have another controller box, how would the little bit be controlled otherwise, powered separately or not. In short, no you can't.

Can I buy a replacement plug for this? Because it’s so big mine got knocked and broke, I don’t want to buy the whole lot for just the plug.
