Sauteing in the Ninja is a pain because oil settles to the outer edge, not evenly on the bottom** A: So I had to put water in the bottom to see, but yes it is convex like the Ninja pot. Pressure valve won't stay closed.** A: i have the 6.5 qt Foodi. this pot is exactly the same size as the original ceramic coated pot. however, with the steel pot, my timer begins before the pressure valve has popped up. it seems to take much longer for natural release, too. i have to watch for the Foodi to come to full pressure, then up the timer again to make sure i get the full cooking time in. i will not be able to trust it to cook something delicate with a short cooking time (like noodles), but i love the steel since the ceramic is chipping off my original bowl. **Q: Has anyone had trouble with this pot? I'm a little nervous because it's not a Ninja factory pot. I'm mainly worried about safety using preasure mode.** A: I use mine all the time...it has replaced the original Ninja factory pot.
