Bought this because my Uncle is mentioned a few times. Wasn't disappointed. Good reading.

I grew up in those years and the stories were great. Being from north eastern Wisconsin I attended all the tracks almost weekly.

Great book. But did find a few typos.

This book is an excellent history of racing in the Wisconsin area. The book covers a time and area before I followed racing in the area but Joe Verdegan makes it interesting to read about and get a feel for the era. I recommend this book to anyone that is a racing fan and is must have if you are a follower of racing in Wisconsin. I will be on the lookout for future books as well.
