Convenient and affordable
This is a nice bargain for the price point. It's well made from a thick plastic, operates easily with only one moving part, and cleans up easily with soapy water. A partial vacuum is created when you push the top down onto the canister and most of the air is expelled automatically as you depress a small button on the lid. This size easily holds 1/2 pound of coffee, ground or whole bean. The only reason thing I would change if I could is that the manufacturer should have had the foresight in the design stage to make these stackable, so you could have your sugar container (and whatever else you want to stack up on your shelf or counter) neatly stacked with your coffee. I mean they will stack but not snug into each other so they don't slide around or knock over too easily. I did pack this in a travel bag the other day for a weekend trip to the beach. Had no problem with it staying securely closed either. If that last point doesn't matter for you then it's a 5 star review!! BTW - I paid full price so you can know this is an unbiased review.

Works well
I recently got back into grinding my own coffee beans and maintaining the work of a French press, and I have three other TightVac containers. This is an appropriate fit for a 12 oz bag of beans, but I find it best to store half the bag at a time and freeze the other. I believe the container fits just about the whole bag to its brim-- but the container maintains peak freshness for about two weeks, and it takes me about three and a half weeks to go through a bag of beans with daily use. Maintaining freshness is all about keeping smaller quantities. About the container itself: It's a sturdy plastic, vacuum seal at the press of an innovative valve button. Stands at a little over 5" tall and is 4" diameter. The opaque black color keeps light out completely to maintain freshness. These are worth investing in for food storage.

Super product, excellant seal, easy to use and to clean.
I've used this now for five months and its super! I grind enough coffee beans to fill this cannister and it keeps them fresh with the vacuum seal process. I have arthritis in my hands but I am able to manage this- the lid does slide off but is tight and I appreciate it, as it has a good seal. These would be great to use for storing dry goods for camping or an RV - your coffee, sugar, flour would stay fresh and it has a very tight seal. Great product. Good price and came packaged well when it was delivered. I'm single, so I don't have much to store in my pantry but in the days when I had a large family- I would have needed many of these.

Pretty good.
Keeps the smell in pretty well, and I can fit a lot of stuff in it. If I hold it up to my nose I can kinda smell the contents, but the smell doesn't leak out enough to smell it lingering in the air. UPDATE: I've now had this for 3 years, and I still love it. I got bored and spray painted the clear part so you can't see inside it. You can fit a lot of stuff in here. I have a small container about 1.5x2.5 inches, a 4 inch glass grandfather-pipe-shaped one hitter, a lighter, and my Smoke Buddy (upside down) and it all fits pretty easily. I accidentally cracked the lid, but it still works. I should probably get a new one, but I might just get a fabric smellproof pouch, because the items inside this plastic one make a lot of noise. I supposed you could add some padding, but I've had this long enough so I'll probably move on.

Convenient Freshness
I roast small batches of green coffee beans at home. I purchased the Tightvac to help preserve the freshness of my roasted coffee beans. I like the size and simplicity of the container. I like hearing the air being forced out as I press the lid down. I like how the lid stays firmly in place unless the release valve is depressed, confirming that the container is doing its job of keeping air from entering. I generally put my freshly roasted beans in the container as soon as they cool and have experienced no problems. I have found it useful to place my freshly roasted beans in an open plastic baggie before putting them in the Tightvac to prevent the inside of the container from getting oily. I believe the container does help to preserve the freshness of my coffee. If you have found my review to be helpful, please click "YES" below. Thanks!

Works beautifully — and has a long life
I’ve had my little coffee keeper for years. Filling it with freshly ground coffee and opening it two to three times a day for a cuppa. This morning I noticed a small crack in the top and thought it might be time to replace it. Imagine my surprise when I see that I bought it 10 years ago! That means I’ve opened and closed the lid10;000 times — and it’s just now showing its age, I’d say that was super value! And total satisfaction.

Stores my freshly roasted coffee
These are cheap and do a good job of storing the roughly half-pound of coffee I roast about once a week. Over time, the cap gets harder and harder to remove/put-on because the container might slightly warp out of round. It used to be super smooth to get the cap on and off, but it's a little harder now after using them for about a year. I might try a little bit of lube to make it slip on more easily.

Perfecto
El café lleva una semana y cada vez que abro el bote es como si abriera una bolsa de café nueva. Perfecto.
