Tangle Teezer Blow Styling Smoothing Hairbrush Tool, Gentle and Fast Drying for Medium & Long Hair, Half Size

I have very long, extremely thick hair. My hairstylist would probably place me in the top few clients as far as thickest hair goes. With a standard brush, I can spend a half an hour drying and still walk away with damp hair. This brush has really surprised me. I had no idea how much of a difference a brush could make. My hair is dramatically drier in a significantly shorter amount of time. It does require more patience, as I had really gotten lazy and gotten to the point of just flipping my hair upside down to try and get it dry, but using this brush really does get it dry inside and out. This is not a brush for "brushing" your hair, the bristles are ultra brittle. I will actually stop and use my regular brush if I manage to get anything to snarled up while I'm drying. This brush will definitely extend the life of your regular brushes, though, if you're used to using your regular brushes to dry your hair. The bristles on this are very thick. If your hair is finer or shorter, it may be worth it to get the smaller version of this brush, but as my hair is down past the middle of my back, this one is best for me.

This brush is extremely hard and almost impossible to pull through wet hair. While trying to blow dry my hair got snagged and was pulling out of my head. Do not recommend for fine hair at all!

If you have thick tight curly hair you need to throw your denman brush away and get this brush! I am a black person with high density meaning I have lots of hair and I have the tightest curl pattern aka 4c hair. I have never found a brush that could properly detangle my natural hair believe me I would know after replacing many denman brushes. I’ve been natural since I was 15 years old and now I’m 22 and this by far is the only brush I will be using from now on. Everyone with black hair texture should definitely get this brush. Start at the ends and work your way up and watch the brush do it’s magic. Also, you don’t need to do your hair in super tiny sections for it to work. It takes me less time detangling now and I’m able to do easier and quick protective hairstyles. I love that this brush is stronger than most of brushes that are recommended to the natural community and I love that this brush doesn’t break my hair. I also used it on my friend’s hair to see how the brush corresponds with different hair types and it works very well. She has type 3b/ 3c and medium density with low porosity and she loves it too. I definitely suggest you guys to try it out.

It's a good brush, just what I wanted but it's too big for my hands. I kept it but did purchase the 'half' size which fits me much better.

This is for thick long hair. I am going to try the half size because I don't think I have the hair for this. I think it probably works great and it did say for medium to long hair on the description. I considered mine medium length but I should've gone for the half size. So- don't get unless you really have a lot of hair!

This is one sturdy brush and it's great for blowing out kinky/coily hair, with the caveat being that the results are on par with using a blowdryer comb/pick attachment. Of course, if you have kinky/coily hair, you're probably already doing "comb out" blowdries followed up by flatironing, so you aren't harboring any fantasies about "blow and go" hair straightening tools. If that's the case, you need to get a Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Brush.Prior to buying this brush, I was using an OEM comb attachment on my SuperSolano 3600 (another great Amazon purchase that's still going strong after five years) to blow out my thick, coarse 3C hair, because the marginal improvement in pre-flat iron straightness I got from using a traditional blow dry brush wasn't worth the added heat exposure and tensile stress. Unfortunately, the comb attachment is somewhat unwieldly to use and repeatedly falls off like all of the other ones I've used. This brush is the best of both worlds because it gives me the dexterity and control of a traditional paddle brush, but without the tension from all of those small, tight bristles. Even better, it's quicker to use, and is built to last a lot longer than the average comb/pick attachment.

I saw this mentioned in a blog and ordered it expecting very little from this "blow styling smoothing tool." I even laughed at calling it a "tool," as it's clearly just a brush. Except that once I received it and tried it out, I realized that the name is EXACTLY right. My hair is quite wavy, and blow drying it straight has always been best left to the professionals . . . until now, when it's super easy because of this blow styling tool. It lets me smooth out most of my hair while leaving the bottom layer a bit wavy for a look that's similar to but more sophisticated than beachy waves. I can't say that it makes drying my hair any faster, but I have a lot of hair and it's never going to be a quick task no matter what I do. This, however, does make it easy.

This brush was not what I expected. I LOVE all my other tangle teezer brushes but on this one the bristles are SUPER hard and its very difficult to brush through my hair with this while blow drying. I still prefer using any of my other brushes while blow drying. It is very chunky and awkward to hold.
