A Handbook of Contemporary Spanish Grammar Paperback

I have the first version of this book and now have the 2nd edition. As it states, it is a "Handbook" and is a "reference & practice book". There are exercises in the back that are very useful. It is an advanced book, so not for beginners. I have used it for two university classes. The first time, the profesora used it as a reference, alongside the book "Taller de escritores" that is also part of the excellent VHL program. Most recently I am using it as a textbook for a university class...I am amazed that a professor could use it that way but it does work well...still very difficult. My only complaint is that there is too much English in it. My other grammar text is almost totally Spanish, "Manual de gramática Versión en español" por Iguina y Dozier, published by Cengage Learning that I also used for a university class. That book is also available in English. So far I haven't seen anything better than these two for Spanish grammar.

The seller's description of the book's condition had just enough detail to give me confidence that this was a good enough copy for me to buy (I can be fussy about things)...and it was indeed, as the description proved accurate. Quite pleased.

Very helpful for my Spanish 101 class, there was writing in it but it came in handy!

I'm actually eating the book quality not the content***I got the book in "used-good" from Amazon and it's literally brand new it even has a code. I'm so pleased!!! Thanks Amazon (it was from their warehouse, not 3rd party so I can't comment on them)

This is an incredibly useful reference for anyone taking a Spanish course at the high school or university level. I highly recommend it.
