I purchased this new model TV despite there not being any Amazon customer reviews, reassured by the well known brand name of Philips. This confidence was rewarded - the unit arrived well-packaged, with nice easy instructions. Two plastic feet need to be screwed in to the base of the unit and then it is simply a case of plugging in and going through the usual setup procedure.The setup is really easy, and does not take very long for the unit to locate all available digital channels. I was stunned when the first channel then popped up, as the picture is quite incredible. My experience of similar sized units - certainly at this price - is that the picture is sometimes quite grainy; however, this unit has a really crisp picture which can be modified through various colour/contrast modes. The sound will never be amazing with standard TV speakers, but it is perfectly acceptable and can be changed through various options such as Movie, Music, Speech, etc. All of these changes you may wish to make are simple to achieve through the easy remote control.The other great news is that this TV appears to be cheaper than many competitor models from unknown brands. A highly recommended unit indeed.

We chose this TV as we did not want a smart TV. Also Philips is a brand we knew and trusted. Our view is this is a really nice TV. Colourful picture and very sharp detail especially on HD channels. Sound is very acceptable quality an easy to use . Set up was simple and quick. One feature not mentioned in the description, is it can record program using an external drive. I would recommend this TV for the price. You can't go wrong if you just want a normal TV .

24', bought for a kitchen.This is a full HD TV at a good price. Add a Fire Stick (especially when Amazon are discounting them) and you have 99% of what you would get in some TVs costing twice as much. Connectivity is fine including one of the HDMIs with ARC or optical digital for a sound bar; no WI-Fi or Bluetooth. Philips' customer service were quick to respond and helpful when I had a question about the software version.The TV has a fixed foot at each end of the screen, which makes it difficult to raise the viewing height by putting it on a stand. This is a pity because the picture is sharp and clear, but really benefits from being seen straight on. We have it on a work top so we are looking down at it most of the time and don't get the very best experience. (Edit: we have now put it on a Mounting Dream wall bracket at eye-level and the viewing experience is much improved)The sound quality is poor and not even as good as the five year old 21" LG which it has replaced, so I think we will be adding a sound bar.it gets four stars because 24" TVs are few and far between, and 1080 HD ones even rarer. If you have the right place to put it and know what you are getting in terms of sound then it's a good buy.

If you are looking for a smaller TV with quality picture, look no further. This is not a smart TV but it has a superb picture. It has great connectivity including, HDMI X 2 with ARC, optical audio output and usb so you can connect it to a smart tuner and Hi Fi. I can't fault this in any way. I use it as a main TV because, although my room isn't small, the layout means I don't view TV from a great distance. I can't understand why so many manufacturers don't produce a High Definition TV less than 32 in. I don't want the aesthetics of my room to be ruined by a huge black rectangle!. Well done Philips!

This was actually a Christmas gift for my mum. The picture is really good. She is so pleased with it. Easy to program, easy to use. This was a good purchase. I would buy one for my own use.

It was a Christmas gift but I have actually watched this television. The picture was great and the sound is fine. I would recommend this television as good quality and value for money

Full HD display is good and bright enough. Has 2 HDMI ports and can be converted to a smart TV via Google chromecast, amazon firestick etc. The TV itself is not a smart TV and does not have WIFI or Bluetooth. However I use the Bluetooth on chromecast to connect to headphones. The speakers are not loud but should be suffient for most. For the price can't complain and if you want a full HD 24 inch telly this is recommended. I've wall mounted mine.

Orded the TV on the 17 and received on the 18 so good delivery . Picture quality is very good for a 24inch TV it is full hd the sound is just ok but that is to be expected . Lots of setting to mess around with to get it how you like . There are plenty on connections on the TV it does have a optical connection but it does not work . I checked in the settings and it does not show up but all the other connections do . It is advertised as having a optical connection which it does but it does not work or show up in the settings . You can work around this by using the headphone jack or the hdmi arc but I don't think people that buy this TV will be using a sound source with hdmi arc . Most people will use optical or the headphone jack . Just such a shame about the optical being there but not working . And to get the most out of this TV you do need a sound bar but as for the picture quality it is very good indeed .
