Made in cotton
I made in cotton lightweight for summer. Very comfy. East to follow instructions. Will make a winter version slightly shorter and in a winter fabric to wear over a long sleeve t-shirt. Would recommend

It makes a great tunic
Great pattern and love that the seam allowances are now printed on the pattern (I don’t remember seeing them on older simplicity patterns). My only criticism, if you can call it that, is that I would like a higher neckline. I will be experimenting and I think I will get one.

Easy to follow pattern
I have been making clothes for years and Simplicity has always been a good pattern to follow. This dress made up beautifully from large remnants I had collected over the years , As I am now quite elderly I added small sleeves which made it more suitable for my age group.

Easy to make, lovely to wear.
Absolutely love this pattern. It is so easy to make and lovely to wear.If you're adding pockets, would recommend cutting four pocket pieces and lining each with interface to reinforce.

Not for beginners and it looks like your grannie's pinny!
Design looks simple but involves using a lot of bias binding which is an expensive addition. The instructions are not easy to follow especially the armholes the pattern says "taper" and the side french seams. Transferring the dots and pattern marking proved difficult. I abandoned the ties as they weren't in the correct place to fit me. The finished frock is not something I would buy ready made up.( I have still to take the tacking threads out and give it a final press.) There is a reason the photo on the pattern shows the model wearing a scarf!
