100 received; uniform resting voltage
First, note that this is a 357A rather than a 357. For most applications, this is unlikely to matter. Wiki Answers ([...]) has a description of the difference. Primarily, the voltage stays more constant for the 357 over the life of the battery.Based on prior reviews, I had two concerns: How many batteries would I receive and how many would be DOA.I received 100 batteries (10 cards each with 10 batteries.)As an initial test, I checked the voltage of a sampling of the batteries while they are still in the packaging. (There is a hole in the plastic blister and I forced the other voltmeter probe through the cardboard on the back.)I tested all batteries on the first card that I pulled. All ten were between 1.60V and 1.63V. Since I didn't want to fight with 90 more measurements, I took a single measurement from each of the other cards, reasoning that all batteries on the same card should be from the same lot. In all cases, the voltage was at least 1.6V.Nominally, these batteries are 1.55V. As such, I'm expecting to get a reasonable life from these for my digital caliper, a non-demanding application. However, note that this is not a test under load. It is possible that a battery with defects would show a reasonable resting voltage, but a drop to an unusable voltage under load. In my case, it would take a very substantial reduction in lifetime or a very high defect rate for the value to be lower than for any other 357 option.

Super Cheap... but short life and inconsistent power
My kids have a bunch of Hexbug nano bots (little motorized toy bugs) that go through a lot of batteries. This seemed like the perfect solution. For such a low price, I figured they weren't going to be the best batteries available, and they aren't. About half of them are weak from the get go and don't power the little motorized bugs very well. The other half seem to have decent power and work fine at first, but only last about 1/5 to 1/4 as long as name brand button batteries that I bought at the store. These last 1-2 hours in a Hexbug compared to 8-10 hours for the better (albeit much more expensive) batteries. However, hexbugs are fairly high drain. If these batteries are used in a low drain device, such as a watch or a calculator, these may prove to be more useful, and they are indeed cheap (although if you are using them in a low drain device, I don't know why you'd need 100 of them). Honestly, even though they aren't very good batteries, they're still a bargain considering you get 100 for the price you would pay for 4 at a regular store. For medium to high drain devices such as flashlights (except maybe LEDs), laser pointers, or motorized toys and gadgets, I'd either recommend buying elsewhere or buy these knowing that you'll go through them rather quickly compared to more expensive name brand batteries.EDIT:I should clarify that I rated these batteries 2 stars because my rating is based on the performance of the batteries themselves, regardless of price, and I feel that the quality of the batteries is poor due to their inconsistency and short lifespan. From a value standpoint, I don't regret the purchase, and I would rate these much higher. I would give them a 4 star rating for value. It would be kind of like rating regular McDonald's hamburgers as 2 star burgers even if they only cost $10 for 100 of them. They may be cheap and sure, I'd buy them if I had 100 mouths to feed, but they would still be terrible burgers. :-)

Bursting Batteries
I have been getting these batteries for some time due to my kids having certain toys that burn through them. They have been generally ok, with the occasional dead one which is no big deal. Then one evening when my wife was changing some batteries for the kids, one of them burst in her hand. No injury or damage, but it was an attention getter. I heard the pop (loud snap) in the next room. It was an isolated incident at the time. Then a few weeks later with the same batch of batteries (we bought 3x100 packs at the same time) another one popped and forced open the battery cover off a small plastic toy. Then within a couple days, a number of them popped either still in the package or in other small toys. All batteries are kept in a drawer in the house. None have been exposed to temperatures other than normal room temp since I received them.It seems when they pop, the seal breaks and the battery expands, but nothing actually separates. Many of them have made a mess of a black powder type substance that got all over the battery area. I still have a lot of these left, so I'm hoping the failures are done. There are other brands with 100 pks available, so I think i'll try something else on the next go-round.

One Person's Experience
There are many sellers for this item on Amazon. I've only purchased it once and therefore can only talk about one of those sellers, but maybe others will find this a helpful single data point.I purchased this item from Micro-Tools (fulfilled by Amazon). It was as described: 100 coin-cell batteries. They came in a plastic bag inside an Amazon box, packaged as ten strips of ten cells each. Each strip appears to be ready for individual sale (e.g., you could easily sell a strip of ten), in that it has a hole to hang the strip from at the top and a single UPC symbol at the bottom. The strips and batteries are both labeled with the "Suncom" brand. The strips have two dates dot-matrix printed on the back: P.D 01-2010 (probably production date) and E.D 01-2013 (probably expiration date). I bought these at the end of June, 2010, so it looks like I have about 2.5 years of shelf-life on them. I pulled one cell at tested it with a ZTS MTB-1 Pulse Load Tester, and it rang up at 100%. I put three of them in my daughter's sound-generating book, and it worked as good as new.I am very satisfied with the batteries, the price, the packaging, and the delivery.
