10 Granny Squares 30 Blankets: Color schemes, layouts, and edge finishes for 30 unique looks

I've come back to crocheting after decades away from it, and wanted to use this book to reacquaint myself with the basics and beyond. It's been an excellent re-introduction. It is well written and inspiring with the color combinations suggested; I've used three patterns so far, making three blankets and changing the color combos on all three, and have really enjoyed it. The pattern instructions are straightforward, and the pattern graphics are very clear. I've recommended this book to two other novice crocheters, and they are finding it just as inspiring as I do. If you're a beginner, I suggest you invest in some practice on the beginning blocks until you are familiar with instructions and stitch consistency, and you'll really enjoy seeing your blocks and skills develop.

I love this book because I love making Granny Squares! I downloaded this book to my Kindle a few years ago. My friend had the hard copy. After using the e-version I felt that the paper copy would be easier for me. I’m older and going back and forth with a paper pattern is what I am used to. I’ve made five baby blankets and one Afghan with the Ferris Wheel pattern. I love the ease of this pattern and the various possibilities depending on colors and weight of yarn. If you enjoy making Granny Squares, then this is the book for you. From easy Grannies to elegant, modern styles and colors, they are all possible with this book.

I have been through 4 or 5 granny square books and they just didn't suit me. This one did! I liked the squares, your color combinations look phenomenal and I'm putting yarn together in my brain. U am a certified yarn hoarder and can think of several I could do. Thank you for this book.

Very creative arrangement of colors and the edge finishes add beautiful interest to each piece. It's helpful that pictures, diagrams and patterns are included and even enlarged so the instructions are easy to follow. Lovely🌺

I found this book to be very informative and I like the different colors and ways the granny squares were made.

I really enjoyed the designs and easy to follow instructions. The beautiful photos make you want to crochet everything blanket. The color combinations and patterns are inspiring. Written and chart instructions given, borders included.

I recommend this book to anyone. Tasteful colors and really nice designs. Wish I had the time to make more than half of them.

This is a nice book. I am a little disappointed in that there is not a big variety. Very colorful but too many repeats.

I appreciate the variety of looks one can achieve through colour variations, as demonstrated by the author. She gives instructions for a granny square and follows it with a number of different afghans which includes various edgings. She doesn't waste time explaining how to crochet, but she does rate each square according to difficulty. The author also includes simple instructions for assembling the squares.
