External USB GDR-8082N DVD Player Drive Wii Game Cube Rawdump

i had issues with this drive at first, but it started working properly after a while. the issue had to do with using this drive to create ISO images of GameCube discs but that issue may be caused by how the computer interprets GameCube discs, not the drive.other than that the only issue i have with this drive is that it has two USB cables, one for power and another one for data. i am only complaining about that because the secondary USB cable which provides power to the drive is not needed since the primary USB cable for the drive provides power as well as data transfer between the PC and DVD drive. (assuming the computer supports USB 2.0 or higher)

Basically what everyone else has said in these reviews. If you're looking to rip your GameCube/Wii games, this will get it done. Ripping GC games takes about 30mins, I haven't done a Wii game yet but it can apparently take hours. Someone below mentioned having two USB cables, however mine only had one cable and one port (one USB for both data and power). Overall, if you're going to rip your games, this drive will 100% get the job done.

No bad review here it is what it is and does a very fine job reading game disks, the only issue I have is the beta software used to rawdump these programs that is what's slow... Be advised finding a good clean version of this software can be a bit tricky and I implore you to only go to a reliable source, the drive again is perfect it's clean but if your using a pc powered usb hub you'll need to plug this in as well or have your hub powered or it's gonna be interesting... win 8.1 stable!

Its does gamecube games well and non dualed layered wii games well

It's super slow, so have that in mind. In my rig, Gamecube games rip in 30 to 40 minutes and Wii games in 3 to 6 hours. But it does what it says, it works.
