Very informative study. The only thing i miss is a lot of non-included works. By the way, This is the only way to get a decent collection on Kubin .

Alfred Kubin: Drawings, 1897-1909 One of the very underestimated artists. This book collects his most importants drawings, which in fact pioneered a majority of later findings in surrealism, romantisizm, symbolism etc. in 20th century. His later things are much less interesting, in my opinion, where he not only changed his style to more "curvy", but also changed the subjects to more moderate. So, this book is really unique in emphasizing his main achevements.

um meinen Vorrezensenten zu korrigieren. Ich bin auf Kubin durch seinen empfehlenswerten Roman " Die andere Seite " gestoßen und habe mir dann interessehalber diesen Band zugelegt. Ich bin fasziniert von Kubins Zeichnungen, und die verschiedenen Aufsätze tragen viel zum Verständnis Kubins bei. Sehr schönes Werk.

Ich bin mit dem Buch sehr zufrieden es ist sehr interessant und die Bilder sagen viel aus!!! Ich kann es sehr weiter empfehlen.
