Great Resource to Develop Basketball IQ
Purchased this for one of our college level players to help develop his basketball IQ, and I bought the coaches version for myself. Both were great practical reads that can be instantly used in teaching and training. This was my fourth Brian McCormick book and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them as well as his blogs.

Good concept, but poor execution of book
Loved the idea of "developing basketball intelligence". I'm trying to develop that in by 12 year old son. However, instead of the book discussing drills for how to create anticipation and perception in basketball players, it just rehashes known concepts found on the internet and Youtube about how to run the pick and roll and moving without the ball. The only difference is that the author has compiled all those generally known concepts in his book

Only made it 1/4 of the way through and found the formatting annoying. The pictures in the book cover the text throughout. The content was decent until that point but no more than 2 stars if you can't read the book.

Good overall discussion of basketball tactics
The basics, as well as many nuances, of how to make decisions on offence are covered. It includes a comprehensive look at many of the situations that present themselves in a basketball game. Great for those looking to understand more about the tactical aspects of the modern game. Some basketball knowledge required though, as the visuals are not the strongest part of this book. Would recommend to anyone interested in understanding the concepts players use to try to score as a team.
