The picture shown above is a finished T Class Racing Sloop.† The kit comes with everything to make that boat except varnish to coat her hull, which is sold separately.† Assembly is minimal with no special tools required, and excellent, clear instructions provided.† The durable Western Red Cedar hull can be left bare and free of varnish and last for years to come as cedar is naturally rot resistant.† It does come sanded and ready for a first coat of varnish.† The Racing Sloop is terrific in any water from the hot tub or swimming pool up to ponds and lakes. With almost half the weight in the zinc ballast casting, the sloop can never tip over. Sailors of all ages will admire the craftsmanship of the Racing Sloop. For adults the T Class Racing Sloop is a fun toy to relax with. For youngsters, the sloop is truly durable - the perfect boat to begin a life of sailing. The western red cedar hull, and nylon spinnaker cloth sails are designed to last for years. All materials will withstand the effects of chlorine and chemicals in the pool and salt water at the beach.† The smallest member of our fleet, the sloop sails fast for her size. Sail your sloop free right across the pond or tie a light line to her mast. When you tug on the line, sheíll tack and sail back! Great fun for sailors from 5 to 95! Assembly is simple and takes less than an hour. For added protection and durability, a varnish kit (complete with marine varnish, varnish brush, sandpaper, and instructions) may be purchased separately. Finished T Class Racing Sloops are also available. The RT18K-RB comes with a red mainsail and blue jib.
