Seals well
Sealed the wall above bathtub. Works very well but be sure to wear rubber gloves when applying. I had it all over my hands and the sink. Because it sticks well, it was hard to remove (I used goof off).

Every woman should have a tube of this stuff. It is so useful. Even the Super was impressed.
The top of the sink came off. The screw was extraordinarily rusty and worthless. It took hours to find the right-sized screw. The top had the gizmo that lets you choose the water's warmth and the flow's strength. So it had to be able to rotate but still stay put on the white plastic rotator. I figured out the right position and used the water-resistant silicone to hold it tightly on the rotator but it wouldn't prevent me from choosing the water's warmth and flow. The Super checked it out today and was impressed. I also used the silicone to reinforce the metal bar in the shower.

Reliable Sealant for Everyday Projects
Loctite's 908570 Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant has proven to be a handy addition to my toolkit. I've used it on a variety of projects around the house, from sealing gaps in the bathroom to weatherproofing around windows. The clear silicone blends in seamlessly with most surfaces, which is a big plus if you're concerned about maintaining the appearance of your fixtures and fittings. The sealant is truly waterproof and has held up well against both routine water exposure and the elements, showing no signs of wear or leakage. The tube size at 2.7 oz is quite convenient for minor repairs and small projects, though if you are planning on larger jobs, you might find yourself needing multiple tubes. Additionally, it does take some time to cure fully (about 24 hours), so it's not the go-to for urgent fixes.Overall, I rate the Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant four stars. It loses a star simply because it might require purchasing multiple tubes for bigger tasks and the cure time may not suit all projects. However, for quality, effectiveness, and ease of use, it definitely meets expectations. A solid purchase for those who need a reliable waterproof sealant.

Gets The Job Done
Dries quickly, good seal, not odiferous. and strong. I liked it.

Works great! Resealed entire 6x3x3 aquarium
0 Leakage. Stripped all old sealant and resealed with a bunch of tubes of this. I believe we ordered 6 and used all 6. Aquarium needs to be cleaned and pump cleaned and restarted but we'll worth the money to save this aquarium!

Good sealant, excellent glue.
I bought this specifically because it was waterproof, to reglue the lid handle on my Crockpot. For those who don't know, silicone sticks to *dry* glass that's not greasy or oily. I tried to fix the handle by screwing it down and broke it. Enter the Loctite. Silicone sealant/glue comes in many forms, and it's one of the most versatile items in a DIY kit. However. It has to be fully cured to work correctly, AND it has a shelf life (a month or two, if kept sealed). Best idea, unless you're caulking a tub or toilet, is to buy only what you need for the next couple of jobs.

Needs a better cap
The silicone works well. It makes a great 'glue' for projects where you want a strong, flexible hold but also the option to remove it later. Takes a long time to cure. The main problem with it is the cap on the tube is extremely fragile and will crack even if you are very gentle with it. It's like they designed it to dry out. So you end up having to pry the plug out of the end every time you use it.
