Kotobukiya Armored Core Verdict Day Matsukaze MDL.2 for Base Defense Plastic Model Kit

This model has wonderful attention to detail. I wanted a tank leg unit to show off my passion for AC.The kit I received came with tons of extra parts. Not being able to read Japanese I've come to the conclusion that the spare parts make up bi-pod/walking legs somehow. I managed to make most of it and cannot figure out how to complete it. The manual does not mention how to put these together. However because these parts are "extras" I cannot judge the model on it, after all I didn't expect to get them.You will not be able to buy the weapon kits and attach shoulder units for this model, however you may be able to use any back unit, and hand weapon but I have yet to test this. It is expensive but I love it.

アーマード・コアシリーズ初の脚部がタンクタイプのAC。まずは箱の大きさに圧倒される。オーバード・ウェポンセットの箱がさらに厚くなった感じで、AC一体とは思えないサイズである。パーツはほぼ半分が下半身のタンクを組み立てるのに使われる。箱組みかと思いきや結構複雑な構造をしている。キャタピラは無可動で一箇所をプラモデル用接着剤で接着するようになっている。上半身はハングドマンとほぼ同じなだが下半身用のパーツも含まれている為未使用のパーツも多い。武装のオートキャノンは砲身が左右に折りたたむことができる。この大きさ故小型の武器（通常のライフルなど）を持たせると不釣合いになってしまう。個人的に試したところ、オーバード・ウェポンのヒュージキャノンがよく似合った。価格が価格だけに定価では買いづらいが安くなっていれば購入する価値は大いにある。特に初回版は過去のキットとも組み替えられるパーツが付属するので、組み換え次第で格好良いタンクACが作れる。個人的には過去1、2を争う良作だと思う。
