7/17/24 UPDATE My review has changed to 5 star. As it turned out, I did not initially, correctly install the product. The key is to make sure the wide portion of the trim is securely applied to the flat part of your rim. At first, I incorrectly pressed the edge into the space between tire and trim, instead of applying the trim to the flat part of the rim.Great product! Looks great on my wife's Audi Q5!6/28/24 UPDATE I contacted the vendor directly; they responded immediately and were very helpful. We reviewed my installation technique and it appears the problem may be my installation. They have shipped me a complete new kit - so Customer Service is 5-STAR. I'll update my review after my do-over.Prior ReviewWe really liked the look of the trim after installation. I was extremely meticulous and careful installing the Rim Trim. I waited until I knew I would not be rushed and had 3 days to let the installation adhesive set up before driving. Now, 3 out of 4 are coming loose.Now what do I do? I'm beyond Amazon's Return Window on this product!

I had some curve damage on my rims, so was looking for a temporary alternative to spending $1000 extra to fix atm. Product is great. A bit of a learning curve. If you are a perfectionist like me if the ends at the end don't meet up perfect......nightmares....lol....so....make sure you over cut about a cm when reaching the other end. Installation was a 20 min. for 4 tires 19inch. Plenty of material so don't be afraid to over cut. Maybe for 22 in maybe different. The directions are clear and almost anyone can do it. The little transparent plastic "unions" u put at both ends at the end don't really do much and they are more a nuisance than helping. They really don't stick to well and if you bought the black trim like me any over handling them can show fingerprints or spots of dirt. I still reluctantly left them on but don't think they will last too long. As for life of the trim....seems the double 3m tape is very strong but just installed them on 7/13. I'll do another review in a month with an update. Overall looks good and covered the damage until rims get fixed. Even after fixing the rims will get another one because I can see how they can protect a valuable investment.*******Update: unfortunately just like the other reviews mentioned, it not only flew off but before it did that, it stayed half way on and before I could stop the car it damaged my quarter panel and tool out my driver's side signal light. I will provide a photo ASAP. If they would provide a cap like other products to unite the ends I'm sure this would not happen. It really is too bad because they did look good.

These are great for hiding existing rim damage, but do little to prevent new damage since almost any curb you hit is going to tear right through these and into the rim.If you have damage you want to hide though, these work great and look very nice.Thicker, cheaper, and easier to apply than Rimsavers brand version, which I had used previously.Removing the tape residue when replacing these can be a pain. Recommend getting an adhesive/decal removal wheel drill attachment, makes the process much easier!

Great product great colors and great safety feature

I follow directions real good, did so with the install of these rim protectors, on brand new rims. Not even a week being mounted and the adhesive failed on one rim. It was jarring to hear the whipping of the plastic at 60 mph, I had no idea what was… couldn’t be the new rim protector! Alas, it was. Never fear, not long after I was again acting as roadside weed management when the second lost adhesion. Flapping and banging the side of my car whilst also trimming roadside weeds. I was now frustrated, one tire I could reapply, I had spare material, but two wheels exceeded the spare. Now only one side of the car had the protective plastic, until a few days later when I was reduced to one. I gave up and pulled the last one off, this was a vanity purchase to begin with, now I looked ridiculous. Bottom line, your kids bike may last longer but the garbage double sided tape can’t handle vehicle speeds. I wouldn’t buy it again. Looks nice on install but for the price my ego should have been fed for longer than 10 days. Pitiful junk.

not sure why this product isn't get a 5 star review. Been waiting to write a review to make sure that the rim protection hasn't fallen off the car. So, after a month of having this, I can easily say that this was a great purchase! Installed these on my 19" satin black Tesla wheels, and haven't had any issues. If the wheels are spotless clean and you follow the steps, it'll adhere very well to the rim. The only negative comment that I can think of is the clear vinyl joint piece. Would be nice if it was the same color as the protector. Otherwise. Great product!

You should be a professional to fix itThe tube won’t stick with out putting the promoter.It is comes with only 2 promoters for 4 tires which is not sufficient.I couldn’t fix it properly, loss of money and time.

Only one wheel makes this item very expensive. I would to return it.

Waste of money all four wheel trims fell off within a week

A great product with meticulously good instructions that anticipate every possible question and concern. Great phone service too. Long live first class small businesses.
