The O ring is not always needed to be replaced when you change all oils. However, it’s always best to purchase these at a dealer to make sure it’s appropriate for your model. The kit is a no nonsense 3 hole convenience. Have had the new oil change in for a week and the bike sounds great (I have a '05 FLHTCI with the 88)! The ONLY thing I would change, is this kit is 1 qt short for the engine oil. However, it presented an opportunity to try a 1/2 qt of Lucas Synthetic Oil Treatment (recommended by Lucas).
