750W 2 in 1 Soldering Station, Hot Air Rework and Soldering Iron Station Digital Temperature Correction and Sleep Function.

After ditching the cheap iron I needed something better. As a fully fledged Noob the vast range and variety of stations needed to be researched.I came across this duel station. To be honest, as a Noob, I didn't even know 'hot air' was a thing other than from the Ex wife.A opted for this product as it had both air & iron that had full control of temperures and air flow. It may not be industry best but as an introduction it is excellent.The item was packaged well. Instructions minimal but do the job. My only criticism is that the iron has a sponge cleaner rather than a metal one. For the cost would it make that much of dent in profits?After a few uses I think this product is pretty good. I have already repaired a few smaller items and one larger product saving more than the initial outlay of this and other associated kit.

I checked the temperature control of the Iron and it was 10c different to my uncalibrated thermocouple - so all is good. You can if you wish to do so calibrate the hot air blower and also the Iron if you discover they are out.The soldering station comes with a UK plug, there is also an earthing crocodile clip you can attach at the back of the station to earth you work surface or whatever you are working on, excellent idea to avoid static damage.I am limited in space, so the ability to screw the Iron on top of the station is excellent, the screws are already on the top of the station for use, similarly, you can change the hot air from left to right if you have a preference.It comes with a good set of tips and also tweezers, the finest tip is perfect for very small SMD, I managed to solder IC's with only 0.1mm pitch gap between contacts- so this will do most people - you will certainly need a microscope to help you though.The Hot air warms quickly and automatically starts the moment you lift the handle, it also cools itself down automatically and shuts off once you replace it in its holder. The soldering iron similarly goes in to a sleep mode after about 10 mins, you can wake it by shaking the iron once you pick it up - these shut downs are great for limiting power use, but also stops the tip from oxidising so much, hopefully tips will last longer.The controls you set also remain in the memory, so you don't need to dial them in each time you use it.I was worried that the plastics and controls may be a little cheap, however, the moment I pressed the buttons and used the station my concerns were banished. The buttons have a positive click and work flawlessly, and the whole enclosure is metal, for the money I can't fault the quality.If I needed to pick on a negative, the sponge is pretty pathetic, it is super thin and curls as you add water, and being so thin it dries out fairly quickly, it does however do the job and I will most likely replace it at some point. Another minor gripe is that the holes on top of the iron holder I assumed to be for storing your spare tips, however it doesn't really work for this purpose.Overall a great purchase that I would highly recommend to anyone on the fence about this one.

I'd always wanted a temperature controlled soldering station, and I still do, because the one that bought is definitely not a temperature controlled soldering station!The soldering iron temperature control does nothing. At switch on, the display counts up to 300 and stops. Turning the control knob has no effect whatsoever. The 300 is just enough to melt the solder, but not quite enough to keep the components and solder hot enough for the solder to flow properly. It took me an hour to solder 8 simple joints.Having seen what a disaster the soldering iron is, I decided to try the hot air gun. The temperature display for this one showed 100 and stayed there. The fan/pump didn't start, so no air at all, either hot or cold.The instruction manual appears to be quite comprehensive until you read the insane translations from the Chinese, such as "Machine through the standard tested, then the actual temperature of the aging test, part of the air gun steel barrel outlet slightly yellowish, are normal, hereby instruction!" and the classic "the mysterious temperature compensation speed strengthen the temperature stability".The UK plug does not have a fuse. There is a fuse in the unit where the power cable plugs in, which compensates for that. However, the UK mains plug has a plastic earth pin, so there is no earth going to the metal case of the unit. Amazon should not sell products that don't meet the safety regulations.

Great, really good, could do with better instructions

This little unit is great for the money. You won't go wrong for occasional soldering/reflowing, although for heavy usage you might look for a more robust unit.Used the blower to reflow and repair a Nintendo switch, worked perfectly, heated quickly and evenly. Display and controls are simple, but give you all the info you need for simple jobs. Plenty of length in the cables mean that you're not dragging the main unit across your workbench constantly.Been using this product for a while and really had no problems so far. Only change I would make is to have a holder for brass sponge, rather than the wet sponge tray, but maybe that's personal preference.

I bought this product for my son and it worked for several months but has now developed a fault. I couldn't find a way of sending it back. Quite cross as it is less than a year that he was using it.Wonder if a 1 year guarantee means it is supposed to work for 1 year. Which I have always assumed was the norm.

La partie fer à souder est aussi tout à fait convenable, tant à faible température avec une pane fine pour les soudures de petite taille qu’à température élevée avec une grosse pane pour souder ou dessouder des emplacements massifs, avec dans ce cas quand même un peu d’attente pour laisser le fer chauffer et accumuler la chaleurIl y a certainement des produits plus haut de gamme, mais pour ce prix, celui ci est tout à fait satisfaisant.

Hab die Station vonnem Kollegen empfohlen bekommen. Bei dem Preis erwartet man ja eigentlich nicht viel. Ich mach damit in erster Linie SMD, wozu sich die Kombi Heißluft / Lötkolben ja gut eignet. Und was soll ich sagen: Das funktioniert exzellent! Habe vom "Lötfeeling", aber auch von der Temp keine großen Unterschiede zu ner Weller feststellen können.Zur Langliebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen, da ich sie erst ein paar Monate benutze. So weit aber halten auch die bisher zwei verwendete Lötspitzen gut.Fazit: Wer High-End sucht, sollte mindestens das 10-fache bezahlen. Wer eine gute, solide Station mit hervorragender P/L sucht ist hier aber mMn richtig gelandet.

Dat werkt goed.Al met al, een complete en goed functionerende unit voor een goede prijs.En ben ik er blij mee voor algemene electronica, wat smd werk.Als je de werking eenmaal doorhebt is er goed en snel mee te werken en makkelijk in te stellen.Ik heb dit apparaat nu een paar weken bijna dagelijks gebruikt en kan nog geen uitspraak doen over de levensduur.
