Corolle Les Chéries Camille Ballerina Fashion Doll

My 4 year old daughter saw this ballerina doll in a local toy-store and immediately put it on the Christmas wish list. I thought it was pretty but very expensive, like all Corolle dolls are, and was happy to find it at a much better price at Amazon.com.My daughter has had many soft-body baby dolls, as well as Barbies, but this is the first doll that I can say is the "real thing", with movable limbs, hard body, eyes that open and close, and beautiful hair. It's a good quality doll, everything seems well designed and made, from her satin slippers to her rosette hair band. I was surprised to see it was Made in China because it looks so, well, European, so unlike the usual toy junk found at "TargetMart'r Us." Corolle has many other outfits that match this doll, we would have probably bought a couple for doll dressup if they were not so obscenely expensive.

I don't care for Barbie and I wanted to wait on American Girl for my daughter, so this was the perfect alternative. She's lovely but not babyish, but not too mature. Her hair is lovely to style (which my 5 year old loves to do) and very durable for the brushing and combing. The only problems I see with this doll are that her one eyelid slightly sticks a little, so she sometimes looks like she has a lazy eye (nothing wrong with that! Just sayin'...) but my daughter doesn't even notice it. Also, the ballet shoes do not have ties long enough to wrap up her legs and to stay up. They are sewn up when the first arrive, but you have to remove that if your child wants to undress and dress her.Just a note: You can also buy this doll in everyday streetwear and buy a ballet outfit separately. I did that for my other daughter, and the ballet shoes on that have ties longer than the ones on this doll.

I totally love this 3 doll collection. the dolls are well made and I love the vanilla smell. I sew doll clothes and sell them in the internet and these Les Cheries are very cute and easy to sew for. The skin tone is just right for many fabric choices, I see many great comments on line for these dolls. the hair is easy to style and is washable, So, buy these dolls. I am sure your little girl would love them!

Beautiful doll I like Corolle much more than Cabbage Patch Kids. This doll is of very go quality, her hair is long, and so soft, and very thick. She does have a vanilla scent that I just love. Her skin is very soft and smooth to. I just really love this doll. Hope my review was helpful. :)

This doll is okay, but I have to be honest and say that my granddaughter said she has a mean look. I guess I would call it pouty, but I can see where a child might think she's mean. Oh well, I guess it's all relative in how you see something. I think she's cute, and probably most little girl would just love her.

It was a gift for my daughter. She is 10 but still loves dolls! I think this doll is not too big nor too small so that she can take this doll any where. Also, I like the fact that it is very sweet and no make up on her like Berbie dolls.

A gift to my niece. It's been 1 year since I gave it to my niece and the doll is still popular. I think it was a good gift then! :-)

My (4 year old) daughter was delighted with this doll for her birthday; her first non-baby doll. It is beautiful, and we are pleased with it.PLEASE NOTE, however, that the doll comes not in the very pale pink fluffy tutu outfit, but in a far gaudier, and MUCH less attractive bright pink skirt. It looks altogether cheaper as a result. [Edit 15.12.11 I note the accompanying picture has now been changed to the dress you actually get.]This is especially annoying as I had trawled the internet to find the 'right' version, and was pleased to have found it for a good price on Amazon. Too late to return it and buy elsewhere in time for the birthday. I am very disappointed in Amazon for using a misleading image. Daughter of course, is perfectly happy.

I bought this doll for my daughter last Christmas - even though she was just shy of turning 3. She showed little interest in it until recently. Now it is her most loved doll. She plays with it very differently than with her baby dolls - talking to it and standing it in different parts of the room. But most importantly for me, this is a doll that is a little girl - just like her. Its body is just like hers and she identifies with it. This is a doll that goes to school and dance classes - ie. does not drive, got to work or own a house. I can't stress highly enough that for the price you are paying, you are getting a fabulous doll. Very suitable for little girls and far superior quality. In fact, I do not think these to be expensive at all considering the alternatives. The shoes are the only negative. Because they are tie-on, they cause some frustration and ultimately they will be lost.

I was delighted to be able to buy this for my 5 year old granddaughter. Quite apart from the fact that child and doll bear an uncanny resemblance to each other, I love the fact that this is a small girl's dream doll - not a quasi-adult teen, not a baby, but a friend. Said granddaughter loves the fact that the clothes are so easily removed and changed - though be warned: the tights tend to require adult assistance at first, as do the denim jeans someone else bought for her!

This is a beautiful doll. Its little face is very pretty. I am very particular about dolls faces as I find some very scary. This one is very pleasing and I know my neice will be very happpy with it.

I bought this doll for my daughters 6th birthday and she loved it. It's very well made. I hadn't realised that it smelt of vanilla. It was a little smaller than I expected it to be - even with the measurements its hard to picture. Overall it's a great doll.
